1) Why big 4 sports? The most obvious line to draw is the big 3.

2) Is softball #4?

3) Using totals for W/L heavily weights these numbers to the sports that play the most games. You should be controlling for that by only averaging each sports %.

4) Why top 6?

Stop dicking around! There is an award for SEC athletics. Just post that and all the debate will be over.

This is a properly weighted acknowledgment of athletic achievement.

Unlike that Communist All-Sport award that equates rifle and equestrian to football and basketball

To pretend like this is an accomplishment before the seasons are over is just silly.

Considering our limited resources our Athletic Dept does a great job overall.

Definitely do more with less

Florida is good but they're a distant third to the top 2 athletic schools in the SEC. The most men's national championships are...

1a. LSU
1b. Akansas

you don't break down between men's and women's.

basketball is 1 sport.

now if you women's basketball team can beat your men's basketball team then you can use women's basketball winning percentage because that is the best basketball team you have.

Nah man. The gap between the popularity of Basketball and Baseball is way larger than the gap between baseball and softball. Cant include one without the other

Nah. You decided to include softball when you realized Alabama would be ranked 6th when only including the big 3. Probably lower than that if you look at the entire conference.

So let’s look at the adjusted percentages without softball:

LSU 55-17 76.39%
UT 56-18 75.68%
AU 56-19 74.67%
MSU and UK 54-19 73.97%
Alabama 52-22 70.27%

Now tell us that’s not real reason you chose to include softball. Don’t say it should be up there with baseball b/c I could pull up attendance numbers and squash that.

Wrong. Check your math and try again.

Big 2 b/w LSU, Bama, and Auburn -
LSU 38-9 80.85%
Auburn 36-14 72%
Bama 32-16 66.67%
