And has been pointed out many times...Kiffin is wrong about the rules on this. There was penalty on the Cody thing.

I also have a question about this. Would it have been a penalty if Tennessee recovered the ball? Does the kicking team forfeit possession once the kick occurs or is it once the ball crosses the line?

And many of the calls on UT were procedural...how is that the refs fault?

I think CLK's argument is about several no-calls against bama along with the cut block on defense, and the false start on offense when the bama d-lineman drew the Tight End offsides... but here's the rub, the tight end is allowed to shift and get back into position before the ball is snapped. May need clarification.

meaning UT could still advance it. The video clearly showed the ball bouncing behind the LOS and Cody ripping off his helmet at the same time. It wasn't a dead ball foul. The game can't end on a penalty so there should have been a 15 yd penalty against Bama and a re kick. Also that is an AUTOMATIC call in the college game- not a judgment call

According to the SEC Rep on the Dan Patrick show, it was 4th down and would have warranted a CHANGE OF POSSESSION. Bama would have had the ball and been charged a 15 yard penalty IF they flag would have been thrown.

So what does suspension mean? Are you telling me that the SEC can determine who can coach? What a fricking joke. What will the SEC do, take aways his license to coach football, it's not like they are the state bar or anything.

If Slive has something against Kiffin, it could be because Kiffin attacked various SEC coaches before he even coached a game. Kiffin needs to learn to keep his mouth shut.

Vol fans need to realize that Kiffin does not have the relationships to get by with stuff like Fulmer did. Fulmer could do or say whatever he wanted when Kramer was in charge. Kiffin needs to STFU.

Once a team kicks the ball, they forfeit a series of downs, and there is no offense nor defense.

Oh I see, I wasnt sure if it was about the kicking or the crossing of the LOS that forfeited the series of downs.

Someone help me out....

Is it a penalty to take your helmet off DURING A Play?.... I kinda doubt it. If he takes his helmet off then it should be a dead-ball foul.

Typical Kiffin. Same whiny blame games he played in Oakland. And all of Kiffin's complaints are without merit.

Again he breaks an SEC rule to gripe about cheating when there wasn't any cheating. Essentially the same thing he got reprimanded for the first time.

Because it crossed the line of scrimmage its like a punt. Had UT touched it, its downed, and Alabama's ball anyway.

Holding calls missed on UT's play to set up the FG. Missed offsides on onsides kick before that. This can go on and on. It wasn't one sided in the missed calls, or so-called misses.

I am sure the SEC has the ability per its rules to suspend coaches and such from the games.

lol, other coaches got reprimanded, just like Kiffin. But Kiffin is a repeat offender (not to mention completely wrong and ignorant of the rules), unlike the others.

Upholding the SEC's written rules is "butting into everyones business"?

Clearly this is Monte's fault.

So could UT pick the ball up and advance it? Or is the ball down once a UT player makes contact with the ball?

It's safe to try the kick on 3rd down in case of a botched hold or something like that because they would get to try again from wherever the ball is covered up. If the kick is attempted, the possession changes.

Obviously the officials are trying to frick certain teams. The officials are getting out of hand and that dumb arse Slive has his nose in every thing. Slive is becoming just like Goodell in that he thinks hes God. Well Kiffin dont give a damn and hes saying this to slive. I actually think Slive maybe a Florida booster as much as he sucks the gators off.

not if it crosses the line of scrimage. If it crosses then UT can not advance it but since it didnt (I assume) then they could have advanced the ball if they had covered but the didnt.

It's not Slive's fault Kiffin doesn't know the rules and runs his mouth.
