Was probably worded too strongly, but running your starter back out for the 8th inning with a pitch count north of 100 and a 6 run lead against the 4 seed doesn't seem like a good decision.

He's trying to not use his bullpen. Let the ace finish them off and you have everyone else fresh. Logic seemed clear to me if ace thought he could go. 100 pitches is enough to end your weekend already.

He was pretty clearly hoping to save as much of the bullpen as he can for that NC State/Indiana matchup. It happens.
