I honestly can't recall ever seeing a coach be able to chose the option of one or the other.

I think he's saving Lewis in case this goes three games, since he's the regular Sunday guy. I think the only reason he moved the regular rotation of Hjelle, Thompson, Lewis around was because Hjelle closed the other night and then McDonnell moved McKay to Saturday.
I'm guessing it was just simply one of those who is pitching the best right now type things.

Really excited about him going forward. Gave up those two runs early (the second in bizarre fashion at that), but the freshman is holding his own at this point.
