I'm officially a hillbilly, so that means I don't like very many people, and I like hills and mountains, so probably E. Tennessee or E. Kentucky. Maybe upland South Carolina.
North Georgia wouldn't suck, either.
Could never see myself living in Mississippi or Louisiana. no real interesting landscapes and humid as hell.

I’m in SC as I post. Goose Creek. Used to live in Charleston, but I bailed out once I remarried and my rent blew past the $1600 level. Have a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house with a mortgage and only pay $1200 in GC. Charleston is still great for a visit, but you need long money to live there now. And traffic absolutely sucks. I’m retired now, so I can plan when I go down to Charleston!
