Not anymore... The bowls have less say than ever in this arrangement. ESPN/Television ratings come prior to the actual bowls. Or why would GA/TAMU ever be in the Liberty Bowl. Their attendance at the Liberty was atrocious. If it was about the bowls and distance, fan traveling, etc.. Liberty would want Arkansas, Ole Miss, Miss State, TN and KY over all the others.
TN hasn't been to the Liberty in the group of 6 yet. they will the next 2 years imo. This year it is either Mizzou, Miss State, or Tenn in the Liberty. Mark it down.
I work with bowl reps several times a year. AR will end up in the Music City most likely this season...

none of those choose over the others yearly. It is a pool system, look for Music City this season.
