Oh, c'mon Tbird. You know it's true.
It's gonna be really nice when it's finished but it couldn't have been renovated for a small price. It was the ugliest stadium in the entire conference.

Truth. Seems like a lot of Aggies conveniently forget that.
Yep.
When you have the worst stadium in the conference it's gonna cost far more to renovate that shite.

You've said that once or twice now.

It's going to be fantastic when it's finished, no doubt about it. But you guys definitely let it deteriorate over the years. One Aggie I was talking to at Fred's in BR told me "come to a game in a couple of years once everything is finished, Kyle is a shithole right now."
Hell, LSU did the same thing with Tiger Stadium.

It's "Aggie."
Kyle Field was/is anything but a shithole; it was in need of a facelift.
And it's getting one.
CatFan is on a rant today.

Fixed.
The guy that told me that had hit Fred's free drinks pretty hard, so take it for whatever it's worth.

Yeah those schools and capacities are definitely mismatched.
USC, Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum 93,607
UCLA, Rose Bowl 91,936
Arizona State, Frank Kush Field at Sun Devil Stadium 71,706
Washington, Husky Stadium 70,138
California, California Memorial Stadium 62,467
Arizona, Arizona Stadium 56,037
Oregon, Rich Brooks Field at Autzen Stadium 54,000
Colorado, Folsom Field 53,613
Stanford, Stanford Stadium 50,424
Oregon State, Reser Stadium 45,674
Utah, Rice–Eccles Stadium 45,017
Washington State, Martin Stadium 32,740
Nonetheless, the capacities still suck compared to the SEC.
This is one reason why other conferences will always pale in comparison to the SEC: fans. More fans, more talent, better football.

Folsom Field--regardless of size--is a great place to catch a game. Was disappointed when Boulder was scratched from the [snoozer] list of Big 12 roadies.

Arkansas fans, is this still planned as part of your expansion?
Stumbled upon that on Google.

I can answer that for them...no. They've down-scaled their plans, added more premium seating to the mix:
The good news is, Depending on how many suites they add as part of their expansion, Arkansas could wind up with the most suites in the SEC!
Currently, Alabama has 157, Arkansas 134, and Tiger Stadium should come in at 140 suites in 2014. Arkansas will almost surely pass LSU and in all probability Alabama as well.

And I'd take the rose bowl over any CFB venue

Focusing on the premium seating is a good decision. Adding the two corner screens would be nice, though.

We'll be adding two smaller screens to go along with the Mammoth video board. I'd assume most venues will do the same in the near future.

Yeah that seems to be the new norm. Tiger Stadium will have them as well.

Why exactly? I mean it's a great looking stadium, but the design is totally outdated, and there's not much that can be done to bring it up to modern standards. The fans are just too far from the field, there's not much in the way of premium seating...a few loge seats is all...and it's a pain to get in and out of. Not to mention, the tailgating sucks. At least SEC fans don't stab each other in the parking lot.
For comparison, take a look at what Stanford did with a similar stadium:
Before:
After:
Of course the main problem with the Rose Bowl, is because it's an historical site, that limits the options that can be utilized to bring it up to date. What Stanford did wouldn't even be considered in Pasadena.
