Well we just got screwed royally. Up 5-0 on JMU at the St. Pete-Clearwater Elite Invitational and the game got called bc before the game, JMU had a “drop dead” time to catch a flight. To be considered a full game, the game had to be completed through the fifth inning. It didn't so it will be considered uncompleted. No stats will count toward season records.

Makes it an even bigger pile of bullshite bc the tourney coordinators knew JMU had a dead time and they should have scheduled our game first to account for that.

+ some teams were much lower to start the season.
And then some teams were ranked really high (like #1) and have stunk it up.
Those teams will continue to plummet in the rankings.
Soon they might not be ranked at all! (oof!)

Kind of hard to understand the SECW’s softball schedule set-up.
Mississippi State does not play Ole Miss this year in the Regular Season. Do they not protect the rivalry games in softball?

No, they do not protect rivalries. Alabama and Auburn didn’t play last year.
With Vandy not sponsoring softball, each SEC softball team will play four series at home, four on the road, and not play the other four. Schedules work on a three year rotation like this.
Edit: softball does not do East and West divisions.

Ole Miss is 1-8, but they are not a pushover and will make some noise in the SEC. Crazy schedule to start the season. So many close games.
