, but his leadership is questionable
What???

He should have been able to keep this team together.
When all the adults in his football universe are idiots, barring AD Long?

Instead he called the team out after a 52 pt beat down at a press conference.
They should have been called out.

Then they proceed to lose to Rutgers.
The Hogs aren't very good right now, I think this is known.

McCarron - and it's not even close.
Very efficient - 12 TD/ 0 INT. - 177 QB rating.
National Champion.

You have to be kidding me. Have you even watched any of our games for the past 2 years? Tyler Wilson gets absolutely clobbered game after game due to our crappy offensive line. In my time watching college football I have never seen a QB get pummeled as badly as he has for as long as he has. It's a miracle he hasn't had more concussions or been seriously injured. The guy is as tough as they come.
Apparently the measure of a good college QB is championships and how "Tebowesque" he is.
And they're just gonna say Shaw is tougher than Wilson because he's ugly as sin.

Mettenberger has the most talent of any qb

Metts talent is overratted. He doesn't have Tyler Bray arm talent, his foot work and pocket presence are terrible. He has great size and nice deep ball, but struggles in almost every other category.

One thing about Tennessee quarterbacks, they always come equipped with pocket presents.

Bama has the best OL. Put Tyler Wilson behind Bama's OL and he's leading the Heisman race. Behind Arkansas' crappy line? What more can he do?
Yea i like this answer. McCarron is great mentally reading the game, makes terrific decisions and takes what the defense gives him but has been pretty inaccurate on deep balls. He would have about 4-5 more touchdowns this year if he hadnt underthrown wide open guys down the field.

Bray has the best pro-potential by far. He also highest potential to bust. He just doesn't give a frick and its apparent.

I don't think that's the case. He shows emotion on the sideline, probably more than any active QB in the SEC. UNC, Just last week vs UGA.
His problem is he gets down on himself too easily.

This. If he can learn to stop letting a few bad plays frick with his head, he could be a great quarterback.

That's pretty simple, who's wearing the ring?

JFF is going to be great, but he is only a freshman. He will be in the Heisman discussion but has zero chance of winning for that reason. Plus he's going to have growing pains.
JFF's ceiling is scary as Hell, though.

You are all wrong. The best QB in the SEC is Morgan Newton. He's so good, he scores for the other team!

Lee and Jefferson aren't in college anymore.

Pro potential is a bad way to evaluate college QB's. Tannehill was a dream from a pro prospect perspective but wasn't even All Big 12 Honorable Mention on many lists. The things that matter are winning or even better "Wins above replacement".
The best way to evaluate it on a place like the Rant though is to have people pick the QB they would most like to have if they could not have their own. For me I would take McCarron. He's a real game manager that can handle pressure and makes almost no mistakes. Leadership outweighs physical tools in my book.
