Uhhh...Knile Davis

They also have a whole new Coaching Staff that is less talented than the previous staff. When compared to other teams they come up short

Defensive staff is better. I mean it can't get much worse than Willy Robinson. Paul Petrino for Garrick McGee is a wash. HC is the obvious downgrade, but I don't think JLS will have near the impact that some expect him to.

I'd say getting Davis back, but losing Childs, Wright, and Adams is an even trade off.

Knile Davis will have to play behind the same O-line that Tyler Wilson & he's returning from his 2nd injury

I mainly compared Arkanssa to Auburn & Florida. I think the staff and talent on those teams are a step above Arkansas

I disagree. As good as those guys were, Arkansas should still be able to throw the ball because of Petrino's offense and Tyler Wilson. Not having an effective running game really hurt Arkansas in 2011, and hopefully getting Knile back changes that.

True. Though in games against Bama/LSU how are you gonna distribute the ball? You're not going to have the ball near as much as they will, so limited plays on offense. If you don't give Tyler enough passes and Knile enough runs you won't be able to beat either.

Not flaming, just wondering what Arky fans think they'll end up doing in those games.

I also wanna point this out. Isn't it the THIRD time that his ankle has given him trouble? He could injure it again. Mostly because of people wanna say Lacy will get injured I wanna say Knile will too.

A healthy Knile Davis, a marginally better defense, and homefield advantage should keep the games much closer than last year. I'm still not too sure that we'll either one though.

The same thing happened in '09-'10. Our O-line was talented by inexperienced in '09 just as it was in '11. A year later near the end of the year they were the 2nd best O-line in the SEC and manhandled LSU on the last drive. '12 is the same story, we'll see how it turns out.

To your previous coaching staff that's less talented comment, please explain. We upgraded on the defensive side without a doubt and replaced an OC with a previous OC of ours. I don't think Paul Petrino is as good as McGhee though, but "not nearly as talented" just isn't true.

I think UT has some depth this year and will surprise some folks. Vandy will make a bowl this year.

The O-line is just part of the problem. The receivers are still new & Knile hasn't played since 2010.

Re: Coaching
There will be an upgrade on defenses but I give BPetrino more credit than I would give McGee or Paul & with JLS leading the ship. . .

SN: I hope McGee proves me wrong as I
would like to see him succeed at UAB

Actually I think they will be a solution moreso than an problem. Our line is talented and has a year underneath its belt.

They've all had playing time, but they aren't Wright, Adams, or Childs (or Wade )

Knile hasn't played since 2010

For a RB that's actually a positive, especially if its just an ankle injury rather than a ligament.

Very fair, regardless of the outcomes it will be a very entertaining season with JLS. I'm guessing the LSU-Arky game has both teams with fake field goals on first down. Two coaches that thrive in mind fricking the fanbases.
