Actually its a wait and see as far as he's concerned, but plenty of optimism as there should be.
If I'm not mistaken he was actually Gunna be the starter over Murray if shite didn't go down the way it did.

What are they rating the QB's on?
Posted on 6/24/12 at 6:02 pm to gatordmb89
Possibly seeing how much of a bitch fest they could cause, and so far almost 10 pages.

These ratings never make any sense because they don't specify what they're looking for.

I just want to know the criteria they use to rank these QB's.

Should be based on what they've done in the past, how they've progressed, and what their potential is. Point of contention seems to be if any consideration should be given to the level of suckiness of the offensive units surrounding said qbs.

TBH SEC QB's just don't impress me much.
There's Wilson, and then a giant gap. 2-4 are all very similar in those rankings.

While I somewhat agree, one must take into consideration the defenses these guys go up against week in week out..

Agreed. So far Wilson's the only one that really stands out. If Bray can't look good this year, he probably never will. I'm curious to see what Mett does.

IMO Mett has the upside to be in that 2-4 group.

Like Barkley for instance, what type defense will he face this year?
Posted on 6/24/12 at 6:26 pm to gatordmb89
I definitely think Mett will have numbers to put him in that group, but whether those numbers will be more a result of his decision making or the team around him is what I want to see.

That is gonna be huge. I expect yall will see alot of man to man this yr, vs more zone and drop coverage that the Big 12 faces regularly. I think the D-line vs O-line size difference will take some adjusting to with some teams. Other teams, I think yall will match up well with.
Actually over the last 5 years the thing that has given Mizzou's O fits is dropping 8 in coverage. Tinker Bell aka Yost our OC many times does not have the patience to keep running in those situations. Man coverage especially if it is a Cover 0 or 1 is very risky vs 4/5 Spread. A quick slant can be 6 in no time. I think D's like Bama will run more Man Under with Cover 2 over the top. It will be a very interesting to see how the styles of Big 12 teams will mesh through a whole season in the best conference in football.

I don't judge QB's based solely off performance though. Arm talent, footwork, mental strength, leadership, etc.
Posted on 6/24/12 at 6:45 pm to gatordmb89
Can't argue with any of that.

Bray has the best ARM talent, Wilson is the most polished, Murray is the most overrated.
