1) Alabama - While I’m still not sure about the passing game, the defense is elite and will allow them the opportunity to beat any team in the nation

2) Texas - Best win of any SEC team to date. That could change this weekend with Bama v UGA. Manning has been underwhelming, but like Bama, the defense is elite and will allow the offense an opportunity to win games.

3) UGA - No doubt the Dawgs are elite, but their SOS is why I have them third. A win this weekend could vault them into the number one position.

4) Missouri - One failed drive from being undefeated. What they did to UF without their starting RB and two starting DE’s was amazing. Their QB is the guy who the pundits slept on. A win against Ole Miss would be huge.

5) Ole Miss - Just as there was little chance LSU could have beaten them in Oxford, there was little chance OM could have gone to The Swamp and won. The emotions of that LSU v OM game touched more than just the two teams involved. Ole Miss will improve on defense.

6) LSU - The QB situation still scares me. Leavitt has thrown at least one INT in every game so far this season. Combine that with the injuries and making the playoffs will be nothing short of a miracle. The schedule is brutal.

7) Kentucky- Gutsy win yesterday setting up what will more than likely be an absolute war this coming weekend. Regardless of which team wins, I don’t see either team making the playoff.

8) Tennessee - The young QB needs time to mature.

9) Florida - Will need to learn to win passing the football. They were so stunned by Missouri shutting down their run game that they had no answer. Reminiscent of LSU with Fournette.

10) Mississippi State

11) Auburn / A&M

12) OU, Vandy, USCe

13) Arkansas

I don’t disagree about the schedule but I personally have 1) UGA 2) Texas 3) Bama at the moment.

We are splitting hairs regardless of how we rank top 3 imo

You have this backwards. Our passing game is elite, but our defense most definitely is NOT, as least so far.

I trust Russell more than I trust the defense.

The defense can be elite but the defense has shown reason for concern.

Offense is hard to do.. But if we ever find ourselves in a situation where our offense becomes less offensive..

Look out!

I was thinking the same thing. Bama looks pretty unstoppable offensively. Defense still needs work.
