If Georgia does win, this would be the second year in a row where Alabama lost the last game they played and still got into the playoffs.
If that gets us to a six team playoff, I can live with it.

And until the committee changes their selection language from "four best teams" to "four best teams that won their conferences" it will continue to happen.
You can't honestly argue that Ohio State has a better record this year than Bama.

Alabama was still one of the four best teams even with the loss. Same would be true this year.
That is why I hope we get to a six team playoff one day. Then conference championships would matter.
Honestly, if Alabama had a loss to GA this year, that would be a better loss than last year.
It would just make the offseason interesting if it happened twice in a row.
