Also interesting is that none of them won the conference but the 3 non expansion teams all did during that time.

Only one expansion team has played in Atlanta in the SEC Championship Game since 2012 expansion.

Yep. And no expansion team or team other than The real big 6 has won even a share of the conference since the 70s.
I think Mizzou has a better shot at doing so than many of the others such as KY/Vandy/MSU/OM/SC.

It’s a pretty amazing story. Your 1976 team was awarded a retroactive co championship in 1978 because MSU cheated and had to forfeit a game you lost to them. Your 1977 team wasn’t awarded an SECC when they won more games than any other SEC team (undefeated in conference) because they were on probation for cheating.
