It's simple really. Peyton Manning has always been a choke artist

I don't know if I'd go that far but I will admit that whenever they show him on television attending one of our games (usually UGA or UF) I get nervous.

Bested Spurrier twice in one season while banging his secretary.

La Tech was the 1999 SEC Championship

I vividly remember Shaun Alexander saying right after that La Tech loss “We will have to go win the SEC now to get the fans to forget about Louisiana Tech”
And damned if they didn’t do just that.

Florida's rise under Spurrier was unprecedented. First time in ages a non blue blood consistently competed with and often beat not one but several blue blood teams. The crazy cat who attended school in Cocke County changed the landscape but then again if you look at the 90s several schools owe their championships to guys raised here -- Michigan, Texas, Tennessee, and Florida, for example. Something was in the water back then.

We've had 1 conference title since integration, more than any other nonbig six member.
What do you want, us to win the SEC again? That takes a lot of magic baw

The disaster wasn't just a fumble.

the quarterback lost his balance without anyone touching him and in the process of trying to stand up just set the ball on the ground, it was so bizarre.

without that play Arkansas runs the clock way down and pins Tennessee deep with no timeouts and very little time on the clock, Arkansas is almost certain to win.

It was one if those this has to be divine intervention plays.

That TD as time expired. I cussed Dubose for a solid 3 or 4 days wanting his arse gone....I was so fricking happy when I heard Dubose was about to be fired after the UF game.........and then we fricking won in the Swamp and were stuck with him for another year.

That win in the Swamp was inexplicable. It had been years since the Gators had lost at home and we were coming into the game with almost no momentum. Two weeks prior we had been upset by Louisiana Tech and the week before the Florida game we had survived a scare against a rebuilding Arkansas team.

How we won that game remains a mystery to me.

Nope...When Chris Akin kicked the ball out of the endzone...it should not have been a safety. The rules at the time were supposed to give Tennessee the ball at the Arkansas 5 yard line.

Why the refs dropped the ball

quote:

There was a flag for illegal kicking, and the NCAA rule is 15 yards and loss of the down from the spot of the foul. Tennessee should have been given the option of taking the 2-point safety or taking the penalty and getting the ball at the Arkansas 5 - half the distance to the goal line.

So...instead of getting the ball at the Arkansas 43 down 24-22...they should have had the ball at the Arkansas 5 yard line down 24-20. The fumble was just how the Universe decided to make up for the wrong call from the officials earlier in the game.

Still...stop Travis Henry from running all over you and you win, even with the fumble.
