Why would some of the team have a bigger drop-off and others would be much better all of a suddenly

Then you shouldn't have looked at your schedule.

With our SEC schedule, they think we will go 10-2, with losses at Auburn and at Tech? If we lose to GA Tech, our record will not be 10-2.
UGA could very well lose to Auburn and Tech. If they do it is highly unlikely their record is 10-2.
Tennessee at Tennessee and Alabama and Texas in Athens coupled with at Auburn and at GT with UF in Jacksonville I think UGA is looking at 3 losses minimal and missing the SEC CG and playoff. Next season is, in my mind, pivotal in the Smart era....lose 3 or 4 and miss the SEC CG and the Playoff and its Dabo Sweeney instead of Nick Saban. Not a thing in the world wrong with winning 2 nattys but it doesn't get you in the GOAT conversation.

This is certainly one way to describe losing a football game 35-9.
South Carolina also had 9 sacks and 13 TFL. It's not like the turnovers were the only thing that occurred that game. South Carolina dominated OU.

OU and Auburn both have a 0% chance of winning 9 games.
Auburn still doesn’t have a QB

It’s almost like he had help from his teammates in losing those games
I am very open to the idea that his teammates sucked. I hope you are also open to the idea that this guy ran up his numbers against trash competition, and someone who actually could be the savior of the distraught okie football program would likely find a way to win those games.

Well good for Texas. At least they have one mens sports program to look forward to in 2025. Congrats!
They should end their NIL for basketball and baseball and put every penny to stay competitive in football. Cause those are two programs that will continue to fight for the bottom half of the SEC.
Texas baseball will not be competitive in the SEC. Guaranteed.
