Let's all give each other a pat on the back guys!

quote:

The southeastern conference has the most diehard fans in college football, according to pollsters from the Rasmussen Reports.

A team from the SEC has won the past seven BCS championships, and nine NFL first round draft picks have come from schools in this conference. Discover shows us how the research was conducted.

Over the course of 14 weeks this fall, researchers asked college football fans about their favorite teams, and the role the game plays in their lives. SEC fans came in first across all four of the major factors that Discover used to measure the strength of their super fandom:

* SEC fans told researchers that they found it “somewhat or very important” to watch their favorite team play each week, beating out fans of independent teams and members of the Big 12.

* SEC fans also said they follow their teams closely, even during bad seasons.

* Friends and family members know who SEC fans’ favorite teams are, with Big Ten fans coming in second.

* While Big Ten and ACC team supporters love to wear school colors, SEC fans told researchers that they wear team apparel and other items more than any other group of college football fans in the country.

Out of all the colleges in the SEC involved, it was Auburn University that seemed to have the most loyal fanbase.

The top five most rabid followers:

1.Auburn

2.Nebraska

3.West Virginia

4.Wisconsin

5.Iowa

These results shouldn’t be that much of a surprise, considering there’s nothing else to do but watch sports in places like Iowa or Nebraska.

Is there anybody in these locations who isn’t a sports fanatic? Yes, but the next study will show that one out of two of them is most likely a serial murderer.

No greater sight at a football game than an empty Jordan-Hare as the Dawgs topped off the Tigers in 2012!

Their fans and players seem good at quitting if the season doesn't go their way. That way, they can blame the results on the fact that they "gave up" on the coach.

When those Big 10 turd tappers can draw more than 60,000 to a pep meeting light show that happened in Gainesville a few years ago, then I will take them seriously.

I don't disagree with Auburn. But there are other SEC fans just as loyal.

I'm not gonna disrespect Auburn but with what UT's been through, it's hard to say we're not one of the most loyal fan bases in the country - to the point of being downright Emo-style masochists under Dooley.
