SEC East to SEC West widening?

I saw this on Saturday Down South, and their only factual backing of this claim was the fact that all seven west teams are ranked.
Okay. That's subjective. We won't know until they play some head to heads.
Polls this time of the year are jokes. Do we know that a SEC team coming off two wins in conference in the last two years, deserve to be ranked? Do we know a team that had a tough time against a Conference USA foe, deserve to be ranked?
I don't get how people are riding the dicks of voters who vote ND and USC top ten every year this time of year to support a subjective claim.
Basically, what I'm trying to say here, is that SDS is complete trash.

i think the 2 best teams in the conference are the alabama teams but georgia and mizzou are up there as well
tennessee and arkansas still suck balls until they actually prove something, which they haven't.
does lsu have a qb, or is their offense just LF? haven't seen them yet obviously.

don't worry, UGA about to make things right in the East/West debate. After we beat Bama, then AU, then Bama again (or maybe LSU) that'll pretty much remove all doubt.

That's the perception. UK and Vandy really hurt the East. Pick the bottom two teams in the West (whoever they are) and the gap appears to be huge at the bottom.
But I agree - it's too early to know for sure. October 3 looks like the first real litmus test weekend:
Alabama @ UGA (I'd feel pretty good about this game if it was in Tuscaloosa. But Athens is going to be wild for this game particularly if UGA is undefeated still and it will be the Alabama QBs first hostile environment)
Ole Miss @ Florida (again I think the West team would feel pretty good about this at home, but it's on the road again)
Arkansas @ Tenn (should be a good game, another home game for the East)
If the West sweeps those games on the road, then we probably have our answer for another year - West is better.

Well done. I think UGA/ Bama will resemble the heavy weight bout we played out in the Dome. Pray it's not like the blackout game. But Saban is really good at really big games.
Hawgs are simply better than the Vols imo.
Florida/ Ole Miss is interesting. Home field will help.

This is true. Even at the mid level there seems to be a gap. The only place the East is close is probably at the top, and we don't even know that to be true.

Except Georgia isn't a heavy weight.

We look like a Tyson/ Ali clone when we play you guys. Why is that?
And we were a tipped pass away from winning the MNC in 2012. One of 2-3 equally close opprotunities. We just can't catch a ride on AU and LSU's unicorn.

Really, Oregon St fan talking trash about Indiana....you lost to Washington St last year and to Eastern Washington in 2013
