Sorry, you fluked into Atlanta this year. It's still impressive, being that Missouri is a newcomer. However I wouldn't count on making it back for a while.

where the west was in basketball this year
First, there are no divisions in basketball, let's get that out of the way, but I do get what you're saying.
Second, the SEC East is much more relevant in football, when compared to the SEC West in basketball.

Exactly. Not Missouri's fault teams better than them had injuries. They still won the games.
Just don't make it to be more than it is.

Hey, Auburn fluked their way into BCSCG, so anything can happen.

What makes a you think there better all because so called experts or just drawing to conclusion. The East will come down to Mizzou Georgia and USCe

The East is down, but all bets are off if Muschamp can figure out how to score some points.

If it were UGA and UF that finished Nos 4 and 5 in the country last year, no one would say this. Since it was USC and Mizzou, everyone wants to say how down the East is.
It's up to Spurrier and co. to fix this. They can't keep having derp fests like the '13 UTK game, or the '12 UF game. I fear his window shut at the end of last year, but he may have one more shot to claim an SEC title.

You're an idiot. Simple as that.

Obviously the new crop of coaches will "change" it b/c things are cyclical. In the 90s and early 00s the West certainly wasn't any better than the East. Even from like '05-'09 it would be hard to suggest that the West was better. So, we're looking at about a 5 year run here with the West unquestionably the better division. It won't last.

I pretty much consider any game GA wins to be a fluke

We have a good chance to make it again this year. Id say UGA and Mizzou are co favs, with USC slightly below. UGA has to come to our house, and we have the easier West slate.
I like our chances

The east used to dominate the west and the cycle changed....but bet my words that its going to be the east again starting this year. Bama & LSU have new QBs..enough said and Bama will be at least a year or two away from developing stout 2011 type defense.
Its USC & UF this year...folks aren't going to like what we do to them. UGA has to restore defense still and get QB in the saddle. Vandy will drop slightly and UK will rise slightly, UT is still a year or two off to have recruiting pay off. Mizzou is wild card and maybe middle of the east pack. Maty has talent but Mizzou needs defense and they come calling in the Swamp along with LSU, USC & UK.

If UF gets an offense (HUGE if...), they win the East next year.

Yea im thinking it comes down to Mizzou, Georgia and USe. Florida has to many questions on offense,no doubt there defense is top notch
