Here's a fix to where no one loses a game:

quote:

The Tigers, who are scheduled to host South Alabama on Nov. 19, don’t have to -- and here’s how:

Scenario 1:

LSU at Florida is moved to Nov. 19;

South Alabama at LSU is moved from Nov. 19 to Oct. 29, LSU’s current open date;

South Alabama moves its Oct. 29 home game with Georgia State to Nov. 19;

Georgia State moves its Nov. 19 home date with Georgia Southern to Nov. 26, which is an open date for both Sun Belt teams.

Scenario 2 is the same as Scenario 1 (LSU at UF Nov. 19; USA at LSU on Oct. 29) with the exception of:

South Alabama moves its Oct. 29 home game with Georgia State to Nov. 12, USA’s current open date;

Georgia State moves its Nov. 12 home game with Louisiana Monroe to Nov. 26, which is an open date for both teams.

The SEC needs to cut checks to USA/Presbyterian and to lsu for the lost game and play it 11/19.

UF also needs to cut a check to LSU for punitive damages.

...and then maybe.

If the conference decides this is the best course of action, if UF agrees as well, and the conference provides financial compensation to LSU, then LSU should play this game. If you won't accept that, LSU should be charged a forfeit. Conversely, if UF were to balk, I would say charge them.

So, by your insipid "logic"...not playing a game because of "safety concerns" should force LSU to have to play 3 SEC road games against 3 ranked teams, in the space of 12 days. Again, because of "safety concerns."

The beauty of all of this is that in trying to debunk LSU's points, you merely make them stronger...and you're too stupid to realize that.

The injury outlook on Monday looked bad but Brantley and Cox he expected to play as of Wednesday.

Hmmmmm.... Wednesday...... can't remember, what was it that was going on Wednesday??

Glad that injuries were looking up!!! Wednesday...

But the facts state that before the hurricane alert went into effect, UF was reporting some pretty dire circumstances. That's a fact.

Not trying to argue but I just don't know why South Alabama, Georgia State, Georgia Southern, and Louisiana Monroe all want to move their schedules to accomodate UF and LSU.

Unless they are part of an ongoing rotation and don't want those future games dropped. Am I missing something?

What is the motivation for 4 schools to juggle their schedules around when they are getting to play and making money already no matter what?

UF erred on the side of caution in cancelling a football game in advance of a hurricane.

They didn't have to cancel when they did. They could've rescheduled for Monday, and cancelled it Friday if it looked like it wouldn't work Monday.

They were premature because they didn't want to play the game.

It is incumbent on both parties

That's right, an seeing as how LSU made a good-faith effort to get the game played while Florida did NOT, now it is incumbent on Florida to satisfy LSU if they want the game played. LSU is just fine with keeping it cancelled, they have other obligations.

The fact of the matter is you don't have some moral high ground in the fact that UF erred on the side of caution in cancelling a football game in advance of a hurricane

You can play the moral high ground card when debating whether or not UF did all this on purpose, but not when it comes to their incompetence.

Saying UF not wanting to play this game had nothing to do with injuries and everything to do with player safety as well as their families, fine I get that.

Saying well the reason UF didn't plan on any contingencies or do anything about the game really other than say no to every single one of LSU's proposals was because of safety, yeah not buying that.

Just stop. Ya'll are quick to call out UF for bitching out never mind there was a hurricane bearing down on Gainesville.....but when it's time to talk about rescheduling the game, then it's all on LSU's terms...all or nothing

bullshite

Sack up and play the goddamn game. Do you want a shot at Atlanta? then you are going to have to be reasonable about the solution.

You were playing 3 games anyway. Are you saying you're scared of getting hurt in the SEC? Because that's what it sounds like

We'd still be missing compensation to the community.

But they DID balk already.

LSU gave them SEVERAL options, and they said no to all of them - not even a 'okay, let's tentatively plan for that', NOTHING, just a fat "No."

I'd be okay with playing at UF on 10/29, but anything else is out, imo.

Except the SEC has no rule moving forward that allows them to charge either team with a forfeit. It's a nice thought (sort of), but with no rule in place to take such action, you set yourself up for a nice little shite storm if you (the SEC) do take said action...

UF is not playing lsu 10/29. Lsu proposed options were unreasonable to UF.lsu is dodging UF by not wanting to play.

SEC front office will take another PR hit. Delaney is enjoying this. Sankey should resign.

Then that impacts UGA and one thing is clear is this ain't their problem. It sucks but this your problem.

I'm not scared of anything. For one thing, I'm not playing.

I'm merely pointing out the hypocrisy and stupidity of the respective stances of UF and the SEC. The fact that this has to be explained to you continues to show me that you demonstrate the cranial capabilities of a massive stroke victim. Best of luck with therapy.
