They need to eliminate divisions in all sports. The east is just too dominant across the board....it's not even fair. We also need a round robin in football to help decide who goes to Atlanta for tSECCG.

The west can hold it's own in football and baseball, not basketball imo.

The West can more than hold its own in football. Basketball is improving but still not there. I have no idea which division is better in baseball.

Historically or this year? I mean, the first place team in the West in under .500!

Frick you. The SEC West is 186-170-3 against the East in football since expansion. I wouldn't call that East being too dominant.

Would be the smartest thing to do. Basketball does not need divisions. Do any programs actually take pride in some meaningless division "championship" ?

Overall conference title and conference tourney title are the only things that mean squat in basketball. I only say the tourney title because it gives a team an automatic berth in the tourney.

Slow down there Bama. Let's not let one decent year cloud your judgement.

I'll probably get hammered for saying this, but the SEC needs Arkansas to get back to it's good days in basketball. Hiring Anderson was certainly a large step in that direction.

I can't imagine why anybody would get mad about a UFowns post, he's the worst flamer on the entire board.

And as for baseball, I meant more historically, or at least over the last 20-30 years. But I didn't realize that the West was that bad this year.

Its a good thing that Arkansas hired a good coach. There are no benefits to playing in a weak division, outside of guaranteed division titles, but that's worthless, as the last three years have shown.

Our RPI went down like 5 points late in the year after beating Auburn. I'd rather be playing in the East.

Yea, pretty mediocre. One team in the RPI top 13 right now, but all are in the RPI top 37. So, not just terrible.

The West will be a bit tougher to go through this year. State returns a pretty solid team, Arkansas has a new shot of the past and a top 5 recruiting class coming in, while returning Powell, Clarke, and Bryant.
