There's always been 'just straight payments'. ALWAYS! Now there's 'collectives' taking care of NIL and under-the-table to sweeten the deal.

It’s start payments from a “marketing company”. They but out your NIL. They get your deals. They take on the risk. If you hit it big, they make money too. If they can’t get your enough deals then they “take a loss”.

Can you elaborate please? I think I understand what you’re saying through context clues but between the typos and cryptic “”. I’m genuinely curious, not trying to be an arse

No one called Bama out or turned them in because of a "honor among thieves" type code? LOL, what bullshite.

and then he got told to be quiet and he did.... for now. It's Lane and there's an entire twitterverse that wants to know what he's thinking.

Just like slutty coeds, some things are just too tempting, so I bet he will share eventually. Or he may be smart since he's been around the block and understands that if this thing blows up, it probably goes nuclear with dominoes falling for a long time. He worked for Nick. Jimbo said ANYONE.

Everyone cheats. Crap only hits the fan when some powerhouse gets tires of losing. Ask SMU about this. t.u used pawns to take them down. Same thing with Aggy. We went 9 out of 10 and we got caught "cheating" when its publicly said that every program in the SWC was cheating back then

Bama is the biggest name in College Football. No one has the stones to call them out though they all know they cheat.

My freshman year in college was '85. It was well known in the SWC in those days that if you beat Texas too many times the NCAA came calling.

...and they did.

There has never been parity. The field has always been tilted for certain schools.

Here comes the dirt. Jimbo's about to air it out, unless he wants to preserve his own bodies and the bodies of his buddies.

Paying players is nothing new. We should have gone after that before introducing NIL or at least put out better parameters.

Do these people not know this shite is legal now? The kid can sign a football and say that’s 750k. There’s no way to moderate this. A&M is just the first to get off their asses and play the game.

Yeah it’s not in the spirit of the rule but surely they’re not pretending people are going to care about the “real intention” behind the rule change.

Paying players directly for is absolutely not NIL and not legal. That's pay for play.

NIL is for payments from endorsements and business ventures to take place organically, not offering a said amount to a player.

So these stupid mofos think it is going to be OK for everyone else to play the athletes other than the fans of the team they are playing for?

These athletes are worthless right now and the only reason anyone pays money to see them play is because of the school they play for.

No Auburn fan is going to buy a Bryce Young jersey. Or any other SEC team for that matter.

You see, there is what the supreme court ruled on, and what people think the supreme court ruled on.

The supreme court ruled they could make money on their name, image and likeness. It did not rule that it was legal to pay players to come to your school.

That everyone say this as a loophole to do so, does not mean that's what was ruled on.

What you just described is against the rules and it is not legal. $750k for signing a football would not get approved.

You do understand that Nick Saban didn't report you or even say anything that everyone, including your own fans, didn't already know right?

Anybody with 1/4 brain capacity understands this was a huge mistake from the beginning. Already bad news for Aggie. Uh oh imagine not being able to buy your recruits?!?!?!?

And Arky has been just as likely as anyone else to force a bidding war on a player. Everyone is doing it.

Yep, this last decade shows our superiority in this. I can’t believe we didn’t get the death penalty for our shenanigans.

Actually it feels like we did….

All I will say is prove it. Good luck, we dotted the i's and crossed the t's. Very careful because we knew eventually somebody would whine. Expected it to be the orange losers in Austin instead of Saban.
