Nice fact-filled rebuttal there.

Ole Miss had to vacate all 7 wins of their 2012 season. Therefore they officially went 0-6.

Not a fan of Sagarin to be honest. 21st for last year seems really low to me. Top5 SoS or Top10 for sure. And in 2018 they had #4 in the SP+. I'm not sure where to find that for 2019.

They SEC had to create a rule because of their weak OOC schedules. Now they have played Clemson both years on top of playing in a loaded SEC West. That's a big difference to me.

maybe top 5 in 3down10’s simpleton world.

You likely won’t find SP+ SOS after Connelly sold out to ESPN, however it’s likely close to the composite of every other computer rating.

No major computer has A&M with a top 10 SOS last year.

Not Sagarin.
Not FPI.
Not TeamRankings.
Not Colley Matrix.
Not Massey.

No matter which way you spin it, the SOS difference IS NOT ”huge” like you claim. You. Are. Wrong.

Except Sumlin had more wins at this point than Jimbo does.

Dan Mullen is a better coach than shark fricker. He is probably a top 4 coach in the SEC.

Top 4? shite he’s top 2 and I say that as someone who hates Florida athletics and hope they lose every game in every sport for the remainder of history.

All those metrics suck. It starts out bad and just gets worse.

This one use to be based on S&P and was the best formula. Now it's based on FEI, which is still a pretty good metric.

What makes this one better than others is most SoS just use averages. Which is to say, playing the #49 and #50 ranked teams is an equal schedule to playing the #1 and #100 teams. But they are not equal at all, playing the #1 and #100 teams is the much tougher schedule between the 2. Your team is way more likely to get a loss while playing the #1 and #100 teams, while much more likely to get 2 wins vs the #49 and #50 teams.

This metric doesn't use averages, instead it used predicted losses. So unlike averages that see the above 2 schedules as basically equal, this metric is able to correctly identify that the #1 and #100 schedule is much tougher than the other.

2019 Strength of Schedule Ratings (final)

For some reason he removed all the previous years with the S&P and only has 2019. But at least it's back. A&M was #1 in it last year. Top10 this year.

The proper way to compare Sumlin and Fisher is on equal footing.

Sumlin 2014 is the best comparison to Fisher 2018

So 8-5 vs 9-4 and the extra win for Fisher took 7 overtimes and some home cooking?

Cutcliffe had four winning seasons in his first five seasons at Ole Miss, in 1999 (8–4), 2000 (7–5), 2001 (7–4) and 2002 (7–6), becoming the first Rebel mentor since Harry Mehre (1938–41) to post winning marks in his first five years. Cutcliffe also directed Ole Miss to four bowl appearances in his first five seasons.

In 2003 Cutcliffe guided the Rebels to a 10–3 overall mark and a share of the SEC West title with eventual BCS National Champion LSU. Following their 31–28 victory over Oklahoma State in the Cotton Bowl Classic, the Rebels finished #13 in the final poll. It was Ole Miss' first New Year's bowl since the 1991 Gator Bowl against Michigan.

Despite his 44–29 record, five straight winning seasons, and guiding the team to its first 10 win season in over 30 years, Cutcliffe was fired by Ole Miss's Athletic Director Pete Boone in December 2004 after the team posted a disappointing 4–7 record and three consecutive losses to LSU.

Ed Orgeron
2005–2007

The 2007 season was a historic one for Ole Miss. The Rebels went winless in the SEC for the first time in 25 years since 1982. The Rebels, under Orgeron, ended the season at 3–9 (0–8 in SEC play).

The 2007 season culminated with the firing of Orgeron on November 24, 2007.
