seems pretty close to me. Our chants are just shorter due to the nature of the sport. Soccer is along flowy game and football has natural shot stops and starts. Heck some of our cheers and songs are simply known as Defense cheer, 1st down, 4th quarter, etc.

another thing that seemed very different.... flags. Most SEC stadiums ban them outright. Watching Euro fans with their flares, flags and banners, you wonder... can they even see the game? are they even paying attention?

Most football cheers are pretty lame. Just saying your name back and forth isn't that impressive. Unless you count rammer jammer, I know UA doesn't have any good ones.

Watch this soccer song, there's NOTHING in the US that compares to this:

And yes, it's YNWA.

Liverpool's song for Steve Gerrard is better than 99% of the stuff in the SEC.

Texas A&M's yells are pretty cool because they're not generic shite like that, tbh.

And Michigan's "Hail to the Victors" is awesome in person

I'm gonna be honest YNWA does very little for me.

It's slow, has a weird melody and beyond it's significance to the club, it's just a fruity British invasion cover song.

Give me Script Ohio, War Eagle flight, Lane Stadium and Sawing Varsity's Horns off.

yeah that's what we want to show the world, half a crowd yelling "cocks"

Actually, every foreigner that I've known to visit a South Carolina game loves the "cocks" chant because we openly DGAF about any sexual innuendos that immature minds such as yourself attach to the word.

They understand its meaning and they enjoy the pride we take in it.

The European Ultra Scene/Fan Culture and the CFB culture are so different. One you go to have some fun and drink a little/root for your favorite team and one is a way of life for a lot of these dudes

College Football > European Soccer
European Ultras/Fans > American CFB Fans

should we consider it flattering that a lot of British Soccer songs are based on American melodies? Johnny Comes Marching Home (this), Battle Hym of the Republic (United, Leeds, everyone), Marching Through Georgia (Rangers), She'll Be Coming Round The Mountain, Yankee Doodle... countless others.
