He literally never even came close to having possession. Never closed the glove. It dropped straight out. If that's possession, then bobbling a catch in football = possession.

I don't like to jump on the ref is fricking us train, but Florida 2009, and Costello FSU/SC were definitely games that were lost strictly because of the ref/ump

The ump was looking right at the play too, that makes it worse. The announcers kept saying his view was blocked but it clearly wasn't.
