The braintrust:

"Notably, the University of Texas will be the fifth institution in the SEC to hold membership in the prestigious Association of American Universities, joining Florida, Missouri, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt."

Don't care honestly. SEC membership is all about football and making enough money to compete in the NIL age of CFB.

Love that AAU shares the same acronym as basketball's AAU.

Equally as unimportant and equally as up its own arse

We do.

Top Academics in the conference are:

1. Vandy
2. Florida
3/4: A&M/Georgia

Not counting Texas right now, but they're in the upper echelon

Georgia is not AAU elite.

UGA is classified as a football school

The same organization that has the University of Kansas and Iowa State?

Yeah, there's some big brain energy there.

Congrats on being the universities that panhandle the best I guess.

Nice try.

Maybe look at where UGA falls in most every academic ranking that gets put out.

We are elite and are only getting better.
