This is an unlucky time to draw Auburn twice in conference play this season.

They kicked our asses.

But we suck, too.

10. Texas A&M: 6-12

A&M is only going to win 2 of their final 11 games? So far this season, we've been inconsistent, but since starting SEC play we haven't lost more than 2 consecutive games. In fact, the longest losing streak we've had all season was 4.

Realistically, A&M will finish between 7-11 and 11-7 depending on how they play game to game.

Here are my predictions:

quote:

at Miss St.
at Alabama
Kentucky
Arkansas
at S. Carolina
Vanderbilt
at Auburn
at Arkansas
Florida
at Kentucky
Auburn

We'll take three of those and finish conference play at 7-11.

Ha. I just recalculated it, but moved Tennessee from Tier 1 to Tier 2 to see how it would look..... it would come out with a 4-way tie for the regular season championship:

1. LSU, Kentucky, Auburn, Florida: 14-4

5. Alabama, Miss St., Arkansas: 13-5

8. S. Carolina: 8-10

9. Texas A&M: 6-12

10. Tennessee: 5-13

11. Georgia, Missouri, Ole Miss: 4-14

14. Vanderbilt: 0-18

I think our record is better than is our team.
But we’ll get there.
Just going to take some time.

Agree. Buzz Williams is one of the better coaches in the conference.

Tennessee is nowhere near tier 1 and will not even qualify for the CBI.

An absolutely abysmal team.

Tennessee doesn't belong in this group. They just lost at home to TAMU and lost @ georgia last week by 17 points.

As of 24 hours ago they were in the "First 8 Out" teams in Lunardi's Bracketology. In "BracketMatrix", they are the 6th team out....five spots below Alabama and ahead of Mississippi State.

They have wins over VCU and Washington. They just played to within 6 points of Kansas in Lawrence.

Are they a great team? No. But they are certainly better than "absolutely abysmal" as you state.

I know all about them. I was at the VCU, Washington and KU games. They can't play at all.

They are the worst offensive team in the computer era of Tennessee basketball.

The fact that a team can be as talentless as this team and still be considered a bubble team says far more about the state of the sport than Tennessee.

This team is about as poorly constructed as it gets.

UT isn't going dancing.

I'd say the SEC will be lucky to get 6 teams

Auburn, LSU, Kentucky, Arkansas, Florida, and one of Alabama or Miss St.

...honestly look at that schedule though. Who does UT beat? Vandy, maybe SC. But who else? They could easily be the best 5-13 team in the country with nothing to show for it. That schedule is ungodly tough. They will need a run in the SEC Tourney to get to the dance (which I wish Ole Miss was headed, but oh well...).

We are overachievers, but we aren't losing at Mizzou.
