That’s not even close to the point I was making, but okay.

Look up those 87-93 teams... had some great teams amd players..
I liked the early 80's teams better. Some epic battles with some of LSU's best teams.

None of that changes the fact that If the tournament started today LSU would be the number 1 seed and are therefore in first place in the sec at this time
Those are regular season standings with different rules than tournament seeding. LSU and Tennessee currently stand tied for the regular season crown. It is odd that they put UT on top. I think most organizations go alphabetically at that point.

Your schedule clearly illustrates that.
LSU's strength of schedule: #18.
Tennessee's: #66

Not that it makes any real difference now, but, if the SEC Ty were seeded tonight, LSU would be #1 and Tennessee would be #2 according to SEC rules.
For SEC Ty seeding purposes, it is better to lose to a lowly Arkansas team than to a top 3 team like UK.

I always thought teams should rest their players if they know for a fact they are in the tournament.

I saw something the other day that interested me. It is quite the opposite. Systematic basketball. You a fan? What can you tell me about it?

Interesting concept, but I also saw it can be bad for a team too.

It isn't odd or rocket science.. If a team has the same conference record, the SEC website lists the team rankings with the team that has more overall wins first and so on.
