There are great coaches and there are great recruiters and then there are great coaches who are also great recruiters, not selectors ... those who find players and develop them into great players that fit their style and system.

Kevaughn is not from north little rock but he's from Arkansas (Conway)
he never was going to Arkansas, it wasn't lazy recruiting he just wanted to get out of state. That was the biggest thing anderson couldn't over come. he about changed his mind when Billy D left but stuck with his committment.
I wanted him worse than i wanted monk because kevaughn is going to be a 4 year player and is a better defender, but it wasn't happening.

I feel pretty confident saying this is Anderson's best team he's had at arkansas.. doesn't have a player as good as portis but it's DEEP and more balanced and will play better defense. Macon, Kingsley and Barford are all all sec first team level defenders

I'm fine with a #10 ranking at preseason, but we're gonna be hell on wheels this year

The best thing about being an Ole Miss hoops fan is that we know exactly what to expect. Our new guard will shoot a lot from everywhere, score a lot, and the team will be good but not great.

I think the SEC is definitely on the upswing and in a year or two, the top half of the league will be filthy. We won't be a one trick pony in UK any more.

Mike White is really, really overrated.
A shame Rick Barnes has decided to totally pack it in on the recruiting trail.
VOLS program is in deep deep shite if the young players on this roster are as bad as they are expected to be. Need 2 or 3 to step up and be real difference makers and 3 or 4 more to be good role players.
If these 2 "foundation" classes suck VOLS are fricked because it seems like ole Rick has no interest in recruiting anymore.

I'm kind of shocked State and Auburn are so far back with the way they've recruited lately. Did they lose most of their lineups?
i deserve tons of crow for even suggesting Johnny is an okay coach. 12th is about right. Still, we have some talent and a really soft OOC schedule. I could see LSU getting 18-20 wins again, which I wonder if that'll be enough to can Johnny.

Why? I used to live in North LA, and anyone who makes Louisiana Tech relevant that consistently is pretty solid. I don't think he's underrated or overrated really. he's too young to decide
And damn, I just looked at UT's recruiting class. that's fricking brutal, LSU fans can relate. We just let Stansburry walk in and take the two best players in the state

Let's slow down juuussstttt a little bit. It's almost impossible to say with multiple JUCOs, but I highly doubt this team comes anywhere close to the 14-15 team.

Auburn did, thing is the kids we replaced them with are very clearly better than those that left
The ones who return were injured or FR last year

You can rebuild a basketball program with 1 recruiting class. Pearl did it at Tennessee. Barnes is not recruiting, like at all.
It's much, much more difficult to rebuild a football team.
