re: SEC Basketball not so good tonight

LSU has had some damn close calls against Top 25 teams and then solid wins in St. Joes and Butler. But the SEC as a whole is sucking it up once again. I feel like we could pull out W's later in the year against a team like Memphis or Okie State after the freshmen start to really gel, but unfortuntely we'll be gelling against mostly who gives a shite competition in the SEC. We really need to win out our OOC from here on out.

We just played in the Old Spice Classic which had a game against Memphis. We led most of the game then lost the lead and couldnt get it back later on. IT was a hard fought close game which we simply turned the ball over way too much. We shot over 55% and still lost (24 turnovers).

If we had beaten Memphis we would have payed OK ST, and Memphis beat OK ST to win that tournament. We played Butler instead, also a very good team, and pulled one out in OT. We completely manhandled St. Joes which should look nice in the long run.

If we could have only won on the road @ UMass at the start of the season. That is an excellent team they have and we lost by 2 @ their place.

Not to mention Jarell Martin was out for the game

We play @Kstate and vs Oregon in the next week. We also have MTSU and Dayton on our schedule. If we go 3-1 in those games, watch out for us.

KSU really sucks this season. I think Ole Miss should win that one even with it being on the road.

Middle Tennessee isn't all that good this season. They lost a lot from last season and have played a light schedule thus far.

The other two will be tough, but they're both at home.

3-1 seems attainable.

We need to win one of those. I feel like they will both end up being tournament teams. Come March having non conference wins over GT, Penn St., MTSU, Dayton or Oregon and our only loss being Dayton or Oregon, it shouldn't hurt us.

Surprisingly good. We lost 2 experienced big men off last years team with almost no experience down low coming back but we see to have found 4 solid big guys in the rotation. Henderson is more efficient this year, he picks his times to try to take over. He is able to do this mainly because another scorer has been developed. Our 2 year starting PG Jarvis Summers is now playing off the ball in a more attacking role and is playing great up to this point. Watch us on ESPNU Thursday against KState. We are glad y'all are coming to Oxford. We normally have trouble getting major conference programs to come to the Tad Pad.

Our schedule goes downhill as well.

LSU has been playing so sloppy and still winning. It seems like these young players almost have their timing down, but just not yet.

We have the potential to look a LOT like fgcu last year once that happens.

I think next year our conference will drastically increase their OOC schedule across the board.
