Damn. Ole Miss is mentioned twice and they are dead last in those. Not even mentioned in the others.

Shows that’s we SHOULD be a top 5 BBall team in the SEC every year.

LSU has a better BB tradition than most of us probably realized.

Nope. You're the one measuring State's success vs Arkansas. We never even think of State. True story.

Alot of teams tournament appearances are gonna increase this year though.

Last time Arkansas football finished the season ranked in the top 5: 2011
Last time MSU football finished the season ranked in the top 5: Never?

Last Arkansas final 4: 1995, however we have 6 final fours and 94 natty.
Only MSU final 4: 1996
You barely got us there

Last Arkansas college world series appearance: 2015
Last MSU college world series appearance: 2013

State just lost their best ever football coach to Florida. We just fired our worst ever coach. Hell, Nutt beat them 9 times in 10 years. We won't hear much out of them again for a while.

It's painful looking at Alabama's tournament history. 1976 is the one that stands out the most to Tide fans as a team that should have advanced more, but there's plenty more.

1982: Alabama vs North Carolina, led by Michael Jordan. Alabama shoots 68% from the FT line; UNC shoots 83%.

1986: a year Alabama lost to Kentucky 4 times. Twice in the regular season, the SECT, and in the sweet 16.

1987: Blown out in the sweet 16 by a red hot Providence team.

1990: 2-point sweet 16 loss to Loyola Marymount- a team remembered for losing Hank Gathers in the middle of a basketball game.

Even our lone Elite 8 appearance, we matched up with a UCONN team that ended up winning the title.
