3-5 is better than 0-8, especially when UF regularly wins 6 or 7 of their 8 SEC home games.

UF wins 10 SEC games for sure next year.

Check the records. Road wins are tough to come by in the SEC. Only the best teams have winning road records.

That's cute... Auburn thinks they'll be good now.

Adorable.

Listen carefully...

Florida is a good basketball team. The issue is they are in the same division as Tennessee, Vandy, and Kentucky, who are consistanly better than UF on a yearly basis.

Florida is good, but Vandy, UT, and UK are better. Plain and simple.

UK will get the best recruits, UT already has some studs coming in, and Vandy returns way too many players like Jenkins. Florida may make a push and they will be good, but in no way can you be sure of a 10 SEC win season with that.

I think florida has had just as much a say in who wins the east as UT UK or vandy the past 10 years.

I'm confused as to how a team that returns everyone next year is going to be outclassed by:

1) a UK team that returns basically noone and will have an entire roster full of freshman

and

2) a UT team that loses several key players

It's not like UT beat up on us this year. They will be talented next year but not anymore talented than we will be.

-Macklin was a mcd AA
-Boynton was a mcd AA
-Parsons was playing at an extremely high level last year..and poses huge mismatches for an opposing team
-Tyus avg'd double digit points

-Patric Young MCD AA
-Murphy was Duke's #1 targeted big man last year b4 he signed with florida

Our roster is loaded with talent...it was just the depth and early departures that have held us back.

UGA was regularly destroyed on the road? Did I miss something? I think happened twice.

@UK 8 pts
@MSU 3 pts
@SC 1 pt
@UT 9 pts
@VU 2 pts in OT
@LSU 2 pts

@AU 19 pts -- Best player on a thin team in foul trouble the entire game.
@UF 16 pts -- Game after huge win over #8 team in the country. Hangover.

Florida fared better on the road -- after all, they had the better team...but they still lost by 8 @UK, by 8 @VU, and by 6 @SC...oh, and we beat you too.

Florida will be good. No doubt. But consider this.

They had a team damn near full of freshman this year and they dominated.

No, but they did beat up on everyone you lost to.

UT will have more talent then UF next year.

Returnin players like, Williams, Hopson(McDonald's AA), Kenny Hall, Melvin Goins, and Tatum are very, very good players and they pick up from there with one of the best recruiting classes in the country this year.

Tobias Harris, #5 over all and a terror to guard as a 6'9" PF with range, rivals calls him one of the best scoring PF they have EVER seen! They also have Trae Golden a top 50 player and Jordan McRae who is a top 40 player.

They are more talented, but will be young in several areas.

Vandy is nearly a consensus #1 so, I wont even go there.

Not being picky but just wanted to point out we return Renaldo Woolridge as well.

Barbee will win at Auburn, but it won't be next year. AU has shitty talent outside of 2 guys and we are losing 5 of our top 6 scorers.

cousins and wall are once in a decade type players...uk will not be able to duplicate that year in and year out...patterson leaving hurts also

and you continue to dismiss the talent on our roster...if you want to go off of ranking id be willing to bet that floridas roster and UT's roster are very comparable when looking at high school rankings of players

you mention UT's recruiting class
But we have two top 50 players in prather and young.

We will fill out the class with 2-3 more players.
Mccallum, Knight and Leslie are all players that have florida listed in their top 3. Whether we land any of them remains to be seen. Our class will be pretty strong tho.

Recruiting classes:
UF 09: #15 08: #10 07: #1
UT 09: werent top 25 08: #7 07: Not in top 30

If you look at the rosters and go off of perceived rankings of players floridas roster is more talented and its not even close.

Take that one step farther...florida has recruited better than UK since 06 with the exception of last year.

So im still wondering how UT just automatically is more talented than our team?

Dude, I've said nothing but Florida will be good. I've never said UF will not be talented. They will. Just not as talented as UT, Vandy, or UK.

UF 09: #15 08: #10 07: #1
UT 09: werent top 25 08: #7 07: Not in top 30

Now, why does this matter, when you've spent the last hour telling me they all the talent at UF left early?

quote:

Take that one step farther...florida has recruited better than UK since 06 with the exception of last year.

And look at 2010's results. UK ranked #2 for a majority of the year, even #1 once. and UF was never ranked in the top 25 not even for a week.

UF will not get any of those players, in fact Brandon Knight just dropped UF from his list.

LISTEN!!!

Florida will be good and be talented.
Tennesse has a top 5 player coming in, UF doesn't.

Not to mention Donovan is starting to slip a little. He hasn't had a good team the past 3 years. People are starting to wonder if he still has it.

Florida won 9 SEC games last year. They bring back the same starting 5, get Kadji and Allen back from injury, and add in some quality recruits.

We already know Billy D is one of the better coaches in the conference.

So how does UF get no love and get picked 3rd-4th in the division?

I'll say it again. UF wins at least 10 SEC games next year.

Macklin will probably be one of the top bigmen in the entire conference, Parsons is a mismatch at the 3 for most teams, so really, the cieling for this team depends on guard play, which was mediocre in 2010, but should be better in 2011.
