Thats a really interesting site. How much do we trust it and like it?
Says Arkansas has the 8th adjusted offense, which makes me feel better cause before the 2nd half of last night. We could hit even our open shots after working hard for those looks.
It's been really interesting in tracking things for us the last 2 years. They kept saying that we were running good stuff and getting good looks and if we had made an average number of the good looks we got in the first 10 games we would have been 8-2 or 9-1. Basically, the offense is doing it's job, shooters just aren't making shots.
Low and behold, shooters started making shots (at a higher than usual rate, even, which is why we are winning by 30 and not 10) and we started putting up insane figures.
I think it does what it says it does very effectively - tells you what kind of looks your team is getting. Of course, the 2nd part of that is what kind of shooters do you have?
Kentucky both gets terrible shots, has no shooters and doesn't have many great finishers. If they were in the 90th percentile of shot quality would they be better? Yes. Would they be an offensive force? I still don't think so.

And on the defensive numbers it is doing the same thing right? Figuring out how many bad attempts you are getting the other team to attempt.
Went back and looked, that Arkansas vs LSU game that was over in the 1st 10 mins said we win 56% of the time based on the shot quality. Interesting stuff but only a small aspect that goes into W/L's
