You're ignoring the fact that State was up 5-0 Friday night. No, MSU doesn't usually lose that game. And it had nothing to do with AU starters being hurt. That's why we think AU could have or should have been swept

I'm not ignoring that. Auburn was finally able to string some hits as Small got tired and we got into your pen before you settled down. That's not all that uncommon.

Y'all (but not you specifically VC) are acting like it was a miracle Auburn picked up even one win and couldn't do it again of we tried at full strength, and that's bullshite.

Keeping the Friday and Saturday scores as is, a full Auburn staff doesn't let y'all score 20 on Sunday. Is that number 0, 14 or 19, we'll never know.

This was their first series against a team with a pulse. It'll all work itself out as the season goes along.

Keep in mind, this is the same guy who legitimately thinks that Tanner Burns is the best pitcher in the country.

All 3 games were surprising, to me at least. Glad to get AU behind us on the schedule

The only series I could see us possibly losing is the @ Arky series, even though we swept them last year. We just have to be careful on Sundays.

Have you ever watched college baseball before? This reeks of "I don't know frickall about college baseball."

I think even with a healthy Auburn there would be a lot of split series if it were repeated

This thread has gotten embarrassing for State fans. State, as well as LSU, know baseball. A sweep is NEVER expected in SEC play. Getting into the bullpen is part of the game. To say, Friday should have been a win but our bullpen.... That is part of the game. Batters take more pitches to get into the bullpen.

ETA: State will lose some series this year.
LSU pitching has finally come around. We will see what happens this weekend.

Yep.

We play LSU, Arky, Georgia, Tennessee, and Ole Miss. We have much more to be worried about than just Arkansas.

As a Mississippi State baseball fan, I agree that no series is ever a given, and a sweep is for sure never a given. So saying that a particular series is impossible to lose is just plain stupid regardless of how good your team is. So no, we would not beat Auburn 29 times out of 30 but even if they were healthy we would win 20 out of 30
