This is merely about the SEC reminding the ENTIRE league it will run it's league the way it sees fit or you can go play in Conference USA against Delaware and Kennesaw State - and NOTHING MORE.
The SEC is right to rein this in but then again, NIL has ruined college football.anyway, and the players are already professional players.

The title IX lawsuit. Installing a guy suspended for it as AD. All the times LSU stormed the field and gave the SEC the finger while shouting “you ain’t the boss of us.” Taking a SEC head coach during the season. Trying to take their roster. Calling Ole Miss racist, then doubling down by calling the whole state of Mississippi racist. Rehiring Will Wade. Wade trying to import a European pro team. Lane recruiting NFL players. Going toe to toe with the SEC over it. And the halftime jab from Lane “imagine if we had pro players.” It isn’t one thing, it is a series of events, all of which the league frowns on.
All of these can be fixed and dealt with on a Teams call. I don’t pretend to be an LSU fan but kicking out a founding member of the conference who is hands down the premier #1 college baseball program in the country is too much. There HAS to be more to this and Sankey better damn sure have indisputable proof of whatever wrongdoing has taken place.

f a single team can just run to a local judge to get around the rules all 16 schools agreed to play under, the conference cant function.
No governing body in college sports is able to function until you get NIL under control. This is the root cause of all this shite.

Cool. Can't wait to see this go down. The SEC is gonna get crushed for collusion.

This is all so stupid. I’m no LSU fan at all but this is dumb. LSU ain’t getting kicked out of the conference and they shouldn’t be! Good grief it’s enough already!!

I agree. There's a lot of wishing and hoping going on. Like you, I would be pissed if Bama or Georgia got kicked out. Buy guess what. Add up those football natties and none of those 3 are going anywhere.

This post is pure desperation.
Thanks for the laugh lol

What gets' me about the whole damn thing is NIL.............so-called "college athletes" are getting millions, and folks that are control freaks are getting bent out of shape about this? Please explain the difference to me.

And the path to the playoffs would be much earlier.

At this point let’s just part ways. B1G or ACC would take us.

Dear Lord Jesus,
We come before You today with grateful hearts, thankful for football and the glorious opportunity to watch our favorite teams battle for supremacy.
Lord, if it be Your will, we humbly ask that You look upon the SEC and consider whether LSU truly belongs among its mighty ranks. If the Tigers have strayed from the path of righteousness through questionable recruiting schemes, alleged attempts to suit up NFL-caliber players, and other football-related shenanigans, we ask that Your judgment be swift and Your conference realignment paperwork be properly notarized.
Lord, we also pray for Lane Kiffin. Grant him humility when he needs it, patience when he lacks it, and perhaps a mirror when his confidence gets a little too large. May his smugness be tempered, his arrogance softened, and his social-media keyboard occasionally disconnected from the internet.
And Lord, we pray for the LSU faithful. We ask that You bring peace to their hearts, sportsmanship to their stadiums, and perhaps just a little perspective when they begin explaining why every questionable play, recruiting decision, or referee's whistle is somehow part of a grand conspiracy against them.
If LSU must remain in the SEC, Lord, give the rest of us strength.
If LSU must depart the SEC, Lord, give us the grace to accept this blessing with humility.
And if LSU someday finds itself playing somewhere far, far away from the SEC, may we remember to give You all the glory.
In the name of Jesus Christ,
Amen.
Roll Tide.

Why does bama get a free pass after actually playing a former NBA player?
