Would Nick Saban be the best coach in Mich State history? Of course you wouldn’t. Dantonio is better in every way despite nick being the better coach
Saban is a better coach than Les Miles. But Les Miles is still the Best “LSU coach” in history

I know you didn't start watching until the 2000s but LSU was an absolute shitshow when Saban took over.

It was an utter shite show when Dinardo took over, and he put lsu back on stable ground. He had one bad defensive hire which eventually cost him, but it laid the foundation for lsu back to what it once was
Saban is the best college football coach of all time. But Les miles is the best lsu coach ever

I know you didn't start watching until the 2000s but LSU went 3-8 the year before hiring Saban.

10-2-finished 12th
9-3-finished 13th
4-7
It’s clear you are around 20 years old and have no idea about the history of lsu before the 2000s. They were a top 12 all time program before nick Saban ever existed, with one horrific hire in Curley

I'm not the one who said that Michael Vick "did nothing wrong."

I know I'm gonna be in the minority here but I'm not ready to hand the mantle over to Saban just yet.
Bryant won same amount of national titles at Bama (so far)
Bryant won EIGHT SEC championships in the 70's
Won 323 games with 3/4 of his career being 9 or 10 games regular seasons

Bryant had the advantage of unlimited scholarships.

I firmly believe Kirby will leave Georgia as the best coach in program history, but if he retired today, I think it would be an interesting discussion between him and Dooley.
No. Today, Kirby Smart is the best coach in the history of Georgia Football.
Kirby's only competition now is where he will end up in the list of history's greatest college football coaches of all-time. He's got a ways to go, but he's already on a very short list of coaches that have one two national titles, and an even shorter list of coaches who have one back-to-back titles.

The reality is that Urban Meyer never has the success he had at Florida without the foundation that Spurrier built there. Florida was pretty irrelevant until Spurrier took the job, and in the process, he revolutionized the game. He's one of the most consequential coaches, not just at Florida, but in college football history.
Meyer didn't take over the UF that Spurrier built.
He took over the UF that Ron Zook left him.
He then completely changed what they were as an offense and won two titles when Spurrier only won one with his. It can be argued the spread option of Meyer was just as consequential a change to college football as Spurrier's "Fun 'n Gun".
None of that really matters though... Meyer won more at UF than Spurrier did.
