Our Punter, Will Reichard, nailed a 70 yarder. Flipping the field (if needed) will be easy. He also kicked a 50 yard FG in the rain.

Brian Robinson and Jerome Ford both broke big runs. Ford a 80 yard run.

Tua.. was Tua. Looks like he has lost some pounds.

Not everything is sunshine though. Either our OL is weak or our DL is killer.

Anybody else on Bama?

Look forward to hearing from others.

We're big, fast and athletic .... that's all I know.

Everyone who has seen them says we're going to be pretty good in the trenches.

Bentley is evidently on a mission and looks like a different QB this season.

Five senior RBs including transfer Feaster .... but freshman Harris is killing people.

Shilo Smith, unlike his daddy, evidently likes to stick with authority. He's not as fast but he brings it.

I mean I've heard a lot more great things but I am taking everything with a grain of salt. This ain't my first preseason rodeo.

I do keep hearing rumblings about the OLine and DLine and depth though that, if true, sounds very promising. Supposedly six draft picks in the two groups of starters with some future draft picks on the depth chart according to two scouts that visited Friday. That would get us back to SPURrier's best talent years in terms of draft picks.

Still some questions at Nickle and Strong Safety in the depth department. We're going to be young back there.

Jamyest Williams is apparently healthy, for now.

ETA: First full pads scrimmage is tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 in the heat of first game time. We'll know more after that scrimmage than we do right now,

Hearing the HC, OC, and DC, I feel pretty good improvement is happening. So much praise on the QBs, freshmen making impacts to the team. I believe there was 170 plays ran and Chad already has about 60% offense implemented. Pressers keep getting better and day 1 was praised by Chad.

Do I feel like we're going to be a great team? Maybe, but it likely wont translate into a lot of wins. The staff is comfortable discussing a few programs they have their eyes on though. Love hearing that.

FWIW, scrimmage was closed to media. Pressers on YT.

We have no WRs, no QB behind Fromm, no RBs behind Swift and our OL has spent the winter having hot wing eating contests.

Oh and Rodrigo Blankenship has LASIK surgery.

It’s over

QBs have all been in yellow jerseys so far so I never know how to judge sacks and completions when that's the case. After tomorrow's scrimmage more will come out I suppose.

They've had a lot of contact so far, RBs, LBs, OLine and DLine and they've run some plays with full contact but they've taken it a bit easier this year, so far, compared to past summer camps under mUSChamp. I suspect that has to do with wanting to avoid injuries. He may have pushed a little too much "stick your face in the fan" the past three seasons but he's still going to demand some physicality during camp.

Two guys I know who have watched a practice each so far both came away raving about true freshman QB Hillinski's accuracy and arm strength. Bentley is still in command though.

So we have this former QB, Jay Urich, white kid, 6-4ish 220ish RSSoph who is a speed demon who they both said is going to be our secret weapon this year and the number two go-to wideout behind Edwards. I'm not sure what to make of that but they said he catches everything and is not afraid to take the hit. We've got some pretty good WRs ahead of him so maybe he is turning heads, I dunno. I'd like to see it.

The freshman RB though, Harris .... he enrolled early and showed some pop inside but people are saying he intends to play now and doesn't care if there's 5 Sr RBs ahead of him or not. Everyone keeps comparing him to Nick Chubb that has seen him during this camp.

Somebody, I can't remember who, evidently made the mistake of trying to tackle him thigh high and suffered a concussion because of it and now everyone is trying to tackle him waist high and above and it ain't working.

ETA: Love this new RB coach we have, former UGA guy, Thomas Brown. He's not a player per se but everyone who has seen him out there coaching says he's incredibly engaged with his RBs and demanding of them and ultra competitive and that they all worship the guy like he is a god or something. If any of that ends-up being true then hopefully our running game gets back on track finally because that would be huge for us.

Good friend of mine is an avid Dawg fan and long time donor and he told me Brown is one of his all time favorite Dawgs and that we Gamecocks will be happy with the guy coaching and recruiting RBs for us.

that's because olines take some time to gel, defenses are usually ahead of offenses in August because of this, and the qb usually needs more reps with the new wr's, to get the timing down, which is why I tell UGA fans to chill on their wr's

Our OL has to improve in order to beat Clemson. Fact.

So for me, it is big news that our DL is beating them

Brian Robinson got 60 carries last year. Also played a little full back on the goal line

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but did our 1s on offense go up against the 2s on defense?

Defense won the day yesterday. Seems Brennan had a decent day 8/13 but had trouble handling the pressure. Burrow will be back soon. Emery looked good and Stingley had 2 picks with a PR....dude aint right
