we talking about martinez right? pardon my absolute confusion

Yes, go back and look at Martinez's freshman year. The dude was a beast. Burrow was good for us, but 2019 was lightning in a bottle.

247 heisman odds 2019

Of course, in hindsight, Frost should have gone after Burrow.

I didn't realize that Trev Alberts (Neb linebacker that use to be on ESPN with Mark May etc) is their AD now. Dude was a complete douche when he was on ESPN. They will never get better.

They could be the king of the new Big 12.

Adding Nebraska, BYU, Cincy and UCF is would be pretty solid.

I know they aren't leaving, and money drives everything, but it shouldn't.

What he's sayin is he can't line up any side pieces until he starts winning.

There have been three periods of time that Nebraska had the best program in the country. And it's all thanks to their strength coach Boyd Epley.

In the early 1970s they were the best and they were the only team that had an organized weight training program. Then everybody else got an organized weight training program.

In the early 1980s they were the first team to use steroids in an organized matter. They were the best until everybody else started using steroids.

IN the mid 1990s Nebraska began using Creatine. Nobody could touch them. Of course, nobody else was using creatine as it wasn't even have FDA approval in the USA. Then everybody else started using creatine.

Nebraska had a great program the entire time but those were the times and the reasons that they separated themselves from the rest of college football.

If it was as simple as steroids or Creatine wouldn’t every team do it? I don’t remember a team of professional wrestlers or bodybuilders winning the Orange Bowl in the 80’s or 90’s. It couldn’t be about having players that perfectly fit a system and excellent coaching. That can’t be it.

For a team that is no longer relevant, they sure do generate a great deal of discussion, even on a SEC message board.

Well, there was that old thug thing. You know, the celebrated Dr. Tom allowing players to drag girls down stairs by their hair.

Ah, the Lawrence Phillips argument phenomenon. Nebraska hasn’t been good in years (as everyone loves to remind us) but it was though that incident happened yesterday. Did Osborne make the right call on that- no. Did he need Phillips to win a title- no. Phillips was a waste of amazing talent brought down by a terrible upbringing. Even Saban said he was the best he’d seen.

Despite his faults, Osborne also coached 46 Academic All-Americans in 25 years. You find me another coach that’s done that and let me know.

10-4 all time vs A&M ….something, something. You do have some great fans. They were very welcoming when our Bill Callahan coached team beat them in the final seconds.

Looks like prop 48 might make a return. Perhaps, NU can benefit.
