Should the scholarships change?
Keep it 25 for the amount of kids you can sign, but make that only the kids out of high school.
Allow for an additional 5 transfers, with all the kids hitting the portal then are stuck because the teams are all capped out.
Leave the hard limit at 85. Would allow for kids to move up and down from JUCO easier and move from D1 to D1 when they are buried as the 6th string 5 star running back on the Alabama roster.

This argument is always rooted in Alabama’s roster and roster management.

What about payments for name and likeness on ea college football? I think every player should get a part of whatever compensation ea sports gives.

Name and likeness is a matter of when, not if. It’s happening. Some programs are already hiring staff members in the AD to prepare and manage it.

So the backup long snapper at South Alabama gets the same as the starting qb at Alabama?

I think 85 is a fair number
You saw teams struggle with it during pandemic due to low roster numbers
Knowing the NCAA I could see them lower it to create more parity in sport and balance it with women's numbers which would be wrong
I wish baseball would get more schollies and resources

We are once again fixing something that's not broken. The NCAA opened this can of worms with the transfer portal and they alone can dictate traffic. They have failed at this late date to come up with a transparent process that is fair for all. If the portal is such a great idea, show your work. No one should be confused afterward.
No one has heard how they are going to process this likeness image stuff, so there isn't anything to fix there.
25/85 has nothing to do with where the elite recruits are going. Zero.

Maybe the NCAA should just randomly assign players to a school. That is the only fair way. Liberals want life to be fair, don't they?

Isnt that the way these guys want it? No one should be wealthier than anyone else even though they do more work. Split it evenly. I mean they most likely voted for the country to be ran that way.

It was actually based on all the kids who entered the portal at Tennessee, and will have to just go back.
But it would also benefit kids lost in depth.

Should be an amount to the school, then the coach will have to work with a salary cap.
