He got A&M to a winnable situation in a 6-5 loss in the ninth inning, without his best player through the postseason. I don’t think he did anything but his best Monday night.

The new athletic director fired several staff members in a cost cutting moved, including an important baseball support staff member. He didn’t bother to tell the coaches in multiple sports about in advance. It really soured the relationship between Alberts and Schlossnagle. They were barely speaking by the end of the season. Schlossnagle decided he’d rather work for Del Conte than Alberts

He did that while he was distracted. Imagine what the result would’ve been if he had been focused on his current job and not his next one.

I enjoy having a bit of fun at the expense of ATM’s athletics and its many woes as much as the next guy…but Schloss giving that interview the way he did then leaving for UT hours later is a real big bitch move by him.
