A&M will have trouble fielding a team next year. Won’t even finish in the top half of the conference. The PoS made sure of that much. He’s already got his staff visiting players with an open checkbook to enter the portal.

the reporter that asked him about the texas job needs to go scorched earth on him with a piece. It's really shitty to tear into a reporter and then do an about face a day later

My question is, was he even trying to win this weekend? Like if he knew he was going to the biggest rival, would he even want to win this year?

I agree. It is amazing how badly Texas is handling this. Their MO is always about controlling the narrative and putting a positive spin on themselves.

You do realize that the transfer portal closes on the 1st?
If he waited after the 1st all he could do is porch from A&M or from where A&M gets their coach. At least this way he gives both A&M and Texas a chance to bring people in from other schools.
A&M is going to be the one that needs to move quickly on the coaching side now, but to say Schloss should have waited for perception reasons only hurts both A&M and Texas.

He made a verbal agreement back in April. He then went about torpedoing the A&M recruiting class, as well as covertly recruiting several players on the team to play for him at Texas. Why wasn't this discovered? It was known from outside A&M - we just didn't heed the warning signs. Inside A&M the entire staff was complicit. Easy to hide when nobody is going to blow the whistle.
And did he try? I don't think he's tried since May ... the only reason A&M made it this far is that Kent had to replace Monty in the lineup. The same Kent that was feuding with Schloss all year long. He wasn't supposed to play at all.

Well before this weekend. And his Game 2 loss to Tennessee was his first loss of the playoffs. He seemed to do OK. Just ran into a great team. It happens.

The portal remains open for 30 days with a coaching change. And Texas doesn't need anyone. The PoS and his staff have been recruiting for them out of the portal for weeks. Not a single one of those kids will go to A&M

So unless you want Schloss to just exclusively work on the idea of getting players that want to transfer out of A&M, waiting only hurts both Texas and A&M.

The PoS is out to screw A&M to the wall. He and his staff made sure that we won't be a threat for quite awhile. I imagine we finish somewhere near the bottom of the conference

Any way you cut it, this was a chickenshit stunt, both on the part of Texas and Shlossnozzle.
