Tressel is in big big trouble. He not only lied to the NCAA, but he lied about knowingly playing 6 ineligible players for all of the 2010 season. That implicates more than Tressel. That implicates OSU.

Tressel has been dirty for quite some time. He has already had players admit this. I believe he even had issues at Youngstown with similar things happening.

I am from Ohio and know several ex-players, some who are in the NFL now from tOSU and I can tell you they are definitely not on the straight and narrow at OSU

tOSU fans right now

Let's See...

UT - received letter (Basketball and Football)
LSU- Self Reported, NCAA reviewing
Alabama - Currently on probation for extra benefits.

Agents, 7-7 camps, bumps, (might get a lot of schools)... Maybe he has a point... Of course we have ATPB and Moore'e Tapes.

There was no showing of intentional violation nor any effort to obtain an unfair advantage, which is why no big deal was made of the calls.

All I see in that article is that the NCAA didn't discover more violations than the nearly 4000 reported by LSU. I don't see anything from the NCAA that indicates the above quote, which is what we were talking about.

The NCAA has informed LSU that it did not find any additional violations beyond what the university reported following an internal investigation into allegations of improper contact between a former player and former assistant coach

reading is fundamental

Often the NCAA increases the self-imposed punishments. I doubt they do with LSU, other than maybe tacking on a year or two of probation.

Why yes it is. Now can you tell where in that statement they said they rulled or agreed with the punishment.

Indeed it is.

LSU discovered the nearly 4000 improper calls during the investigation into the improper contact between the former player and assistant coach.

According to the NCAA statements, which you seem to trust implicitly, there is no evidence of this.

ETA: LSU also pimped out a female staff member to help lure a recruit to campus and provided a significantly reduced rent apartment and improper transportation.

He's right. The SEC is probably the most crooked conference, from the administrators to the game officals.
