Yes, this would require LSU to beat Alabama. This is a hypothetical.

This would set up for a fantastic final weekend of the season, where all four teams are still alive to win the West, yet NONE of them would control their own destiny. Pretty unique situation.

Of course, LSU/aTm would be on Thursday. So by Saturday, only two teams would have a shot at the West.

If I get him right.... for only the few days... before their Thursday night game.

Not come end of the season and after everyone has played each other.

This could also potentially create a scenario where the playoff committee is deciding between a 2-loss LSU conference champ and a 1 loss Bama team they beat.

Alabama based on past performance and expectations for greatness. Our chances are better for bringing the money back to the SEC simply because we have been there so many times that we know how to act and handle the pressure of big time football.

I mean LSU would have to beat Bama and UF- at best they're going 1-1 and 0-2 seems a hell of a lot more likely.

Alabama wins the tie breaker no matter what

Correct. All that you have to do is consider what four teams in the playoff will bring in the largest revenues. Then place your bets and make some cash.

I think if Alabama loses a tight game in Baton Rouge, there's a good chance they would go.

We'd have to see how LSU does in Atlanta, too.

It's not. Everybody is just jumping in here before really reading the OP. They're assuming you're talking about a 4 way tie after all the games are played

I figured putting 6-1 in the title made that pretty clear. Doesn't everyone know how many conference games their team plays?
