Say a prayer for Tennessee 2025 baseball commit, Grayson Pope.

He was injured in a freak accident in Trussville, Alabama yesterday. People at the golf course said a thunderstorm blew up suddenly. A tree fell on top of the golf cart he was in. He is currently sedated with a serious brain injury.

Grayson is a very close family friend of mine. most recent update was about 10 hours ago. MRI showed more damage than originally though. more swelling visible on MRI than was seen on CT.
keep those prayers coming. he needs them more than ever.

It was a wild storm. Branches and trees down everywhere on the Irondale end of Trussville. The northeastern end of Trussville didn't get a drop.

Terrible.
Especially hate hearing these types of stories involving high school kids, because every one of his friends in that community will lose a bit of youthful innocence after a tragedy like this.
