Florida pulled our pants down and gave us an old school arse whipping.

GG Gators.

I don’t see the Hogs getting out of the Round of 32

Arkansas will have better teams in the future.

This is just an average team.

Good game Razorbacks, better days ahead. Just not your day today. I think lots left to play for. These games will be long forgotten once the tourney starts, and I am hoping lots of SEC teams make a run this March.

Unfortunately, I do not see anyone making a deep run, except for your Gators. I suppose with the right draw, Arky or Bama could, but I would not be surprised if Florida is the only SEC team playing in the second weekend

So whatever happened to Auburn basketball? As an lsu fan admittedly I don’t follow the sport but I thought the whole reason they gave up on football was because they were transitioning into a basketball school.

They were 9-4 OOC with competitive losses to 4 final four quality teams and were ranked when conference play started but I see now they lost however many games in a row and have the same record as LSU now. Is it injuries that piled up or are they losing because they have a McMahon-esque coach? Just curious on the insight before our matchup

Arkansas is in big trouble. we're only playing 7 guys. Acuff has a bum ankle, and Trevon Brazile is having female issues again. We'll be lucky to win 2 of our last 4

Missouri isn't beating Arkansas.

Its slim, but Kentucky could get to the 3 seed for the sec tourney.

Florida is just so good. Their bigs can stop, Duke, and Arizona.

Please tell IT dawg he has terrible takes in the basketball thread. The whole point of a one elimination tournament is anything can happen. Sure we probably don't beat the elite teams, but get into the tourney and anything can happen. He is being a dummy

He is being optimistic, which is what some fans do. You are more like me in that you point out your teams flaws. They don't want to hear it on the team boards so that is why they won't let you in. That's my guess anyway. Looks like you are stuck with us on the rant.

I wouldn't go that far. I could easily see Arkansas, Alabama, Tennessee in the Sweet 16. They'd only need to beat teams ranked around them as 4/5 seeds like Nebraska or Virginia in the toughest possible matchups to do that.

I could actually see some of the other SEC teams simply win two games and get the Sweet 16.

I do agree that it would be surprising for any of these to knock off a #1 or #2 seed and make it to the Elite 8.

Only two or three teams have a legit shot at the second weekend unless they get favorable seeding. UF is the only one that can beat an elite seed

I think you guys are maybe confusing "second weekend" with Elite 8?

Alabama, Tennessee, Arkansas or Vandy would only need to beat a 4/5 seed like Nebraska, Virginia, Louisville at toughest to reach the Sweet 16/second weekend. Those are hardly more elite teams than they are.

No, I’m not. Arkansas, Bama, and Florida are the only ones that have a legit shot at the sixteen unless other mid SEC schools get favorable matchups. Maybe Tennessee but Barnes. The SEC just isn’t good this year. Nobody elite except for possibly Florida and their guards aren’t tournament worthy

It's not really going out on a limb to say the only teams with a good chance to make the Sweet 16 are the ones not seeded 8 or worse.

The 4 SEC teams that'll be seeded 3 through 5 have about the same chance as that seed indicates to win 2 games and play in the 2nd weekend.

Do agree that Bama, Arky (and Vandy) probably have a lower ceiling as far as upsetting most of the 1/2 seeds to make it to the elite 8 due to being thin on true big men.

Yes, we agree. But it isn’t just seeding. Florida is probably the only team that can play with elite teams in the field.
