Farmer are you claiming Schoss was A&M’s only target and that LSU failed on Bianco, Casey, and Sully? I know you’ve said it before but I want you to say it in writing.

No, Woodward wanted Casey and other people involved wanted Bianco & Sully. It was a big internal fight. Sully had bad press. Bianco wasn’t an upgrade. Johnson was the compromise candidate. All and all pretty good end result, right?
A&M wanted Schloss & Tadlock. I’m not sure if there was one ahead of the other. We were also interested in Jarrett (at ND at the time) & Bakich (at UM at the time). Tech gave Tadlock a lifetime contract. We didn’t get turned down by Schloss.

Yes just saying the same things that were on the coaching changes board during the search. Only ones he left out were McDonnell and Vitello. Seems like Sully was ready to take it and he would have lit it up at LSU. Great coach and seems like a cool guy. But it turned out fine so far.
