There are no "reports" there was one blogger/hack that claimed to have heard from someone that heard from someone.

The same hack that proclaimed that his inside sources told him A&M would not go to the SEC and that the whorns were packing their bags as the newest member of the PAC 12

While I doubt A&M asked the SEC anything I do know that our record (7-5) allowed us to play another team that has the same win loss record.

Texas is 6-6 and their opponent in the Texas Bowl is 6-6.

Why should we drop down just to play Texas.

Tell them to schedule us during the regular season. We have made that very clear.

They were the ones that tried to blacklist us from playing other Big 12 schools which forced us to play the South Carolina States, Lamar's etc

Outside of Texas, no one knows who Chip Brown is and other media (notice I said media, not journalist) have been using his false information as fact.....Sabin to Texas, A&M not going to SEC etc.

He has no source and neither does anyone else.

Of course this is no reflection on the fine folks that run the Rant, but Orange Bloods aka Chip Brown and their ilk do not use journalism practices....they are trying to get ratings, posters etc to make more money.

As much as I want to believe A&M is scared to play Texas, past history suggests it's Texas that refuses to play the aggies.

For 40 years Texas dodged LSU, from the shutout loss to LSU in the '63 Cotton Bowl, to the 2003 Cotton Bowl, Texas regularly declined overtures from LSU. The last regular season game between Texas and LSU was in 1954. Two flagship programs from neighboring states didn't play for 40 years.

Texas is just a bunch of cowards. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that now they're scared of A&M.

Some of y'all will believe anything you read provided it has advertisements around it, huh?

Bullsh...

Its my understanding that Texas cried about this first and refused to play TAMU when TAMU left the B12.

TAMU and the SEC are just letting Texas stew in their own tears.

Piss off Texas - good riddance.

I understand Texas A&M wanting to distance themselves from the Longhorns at this point if that's really the reason. I think a game between the two a few years down the road makes more sense. The Hogs didn't get a chance to play them again until the 2000 Cotton Bowl and that worked out fine. The hatred had simmered down a bit by then.

Anyway, fans of ANY team having been in the same conference with the Longhorns for many years and remembering the Longhorn's bullshite (no pun intended) would understand this.

Texas A&M isn't scared to play them. So screw the Longhorns and screw whatever they think. They're not special.

Don't shut it down for good, just suspend WRTS until you actually deserve to say it again.

For the time being, just replace it with "We're not as shitty as Texas"

it is working, too. i overheard some chick in the elevator talking about this the other day. i need to print business cards that just say "find out more at https://jizzmop.tumblr.com" and hand them out to these idiots that want to ask me about the texas bowl. hell, A&m may have asked the SEC to not match us up with texas, i dont know. if they ever did, though it is going to be somebody's arse, because many of the olds with the money and influence still have the "1-11 if we beat texas is a good year" mind set. if you can get someone to corroborate the story besides jizzmop, i'll listen.

all of that being said, the SEC placed a&m in a bowl. if texas wanted to play us that bad, they should not have lost half of their fricking games.

We don't care. Move along.

give me a break, lets pretend A&M didn't tell anyone they didn't want to play Texas. Even still if someone from A&M had said they wanted to play Texas in that game you would have had it. The SEC was picking bowls and knows the horn and aggie matchup would have been a huge draw. Texas had already accepted the Texas bowl bid hours before the SEC made the announcement. There had to be something to stop the SEC from making this matchup.

I don't see why aTm would avoid Texas. Longhorns are way down, good time to play them. aTm would win by 14-21pts.

People have already forgotten what kind of program Texas is?

You get what u sew in life. A&M shouldnt lift a finger to help them out in any way. What would Texas do if the scenario was opposite?
