I expect a lot of offense in CS today. Pitching isn’t going to hold up for either team. I still think UGA could take this series

BigD, is Jac pitching game 1 or game 2 today?

He usually pitches the last game so he can play 1st base the other 2 games, but there has been no announcement.

I hope our pitching is on today because our hitting makes me bury my head in my hands and cry.

Of course you do … and you could be correct. But your habitual gloominess is a stoke extinguisher.

(You said the same prior to each game of the Vandy series sweep)

Do you ever just enjoy the ride? Life is short. I’m burying my father this week. He too was a realist; but he was also hopeful. Have a little faith every now and then .

Good luck Hawgs!

Yesterday reminded me of the good ole pitching duels we used to get in the National League before the abomination that is the DH.

I haven’t seen any lines for our game but the #1 team at home is going to be favored vs 99-100% of teams. Let’s assume -150 for both games. That would means UGA has about a 16% chance of winning the series. Obviously, 16% is far from 0, but this crybaby defeatist attitude to things are great you swing from every few weeks is wild.

As a fan of a former NL team that shared your opinion, it’s wrong. DH is superior. I saw the light once the Astros moved from NL to AL.

I love the DH. I hate seeing a pitcher bunt and the strategy involved (by both teams) with knowing the pitcher is coming to bat. I've got a buddy who is like you. He's a traditionalist and likes the strategy game of the pitcher hitting.

Speaking of the NL, MLB, and hitting in general, here's a beautiful clip of Soler's tater from my Bravos against the Astros:

I'm expecting two hard fought games today. Baum will be packed and rocking.

EKG - we haven’t lost a series since I started with it, and I will keep doing it until it no longer works. However, UGA’s ability to hit is in actuality concerning

That Arkansas crowd is quiet. Hangovers in FVille this morning?
