Yeah we know.

Only Texas has accomplished going 5-7 four times since 2009.

A playoff appearance and big12 championship is not worth an extension? You also realize Sark turned down "Coach in waiting" for Alabama to be HC at Texas. Saying he had no suitors is blasphemy.

quote:

His initial contract ran through 2027 why not actually see if he can earn the extension instead of this bullshite panic of "getting in front of it".

While a Texas HC has not willingly left for another school in over 100 years, money talks and if Texas hadn't paid him then another school would've.

quote:

Hell, at least see what the first two years in SEC play brings before making it so fricking painful to fire his arse when he does what he's done for his entire career and wallows in mediocrity.

Damn, I typed all this up just to realize you're an alter.

and TAMU failed to capitalize on our futility. now big brother and stepfather (77-0) are back, and Aggies are clinging to hope that a very fat man can make them relevant for the first time in history.

Not sure if you are really this ignorant or what but last A&M played the Big 12 champ Chokelahoma in the 2013 Cotton Bowl, Johnny Football made blowU look like team that bought a dildo to a gunfight.

A b12 championship season where we played an Oklahoma State team that lost to South Alabama 33-7 and UCF 45-3 in the championship game? Context matters.

And btw, a b12 championship isn't exemplary it should be the expectation. So no, I don't think a guy that was under contract until 2027 deserved an extension for doing what he was hired to do. You may have different expectations and lord knows CDC clearly does, but for me the guy with the most talented team in the league (by far) should win the conference. That's not exceeding expectations, that's simply doing his job.

Imagine for a moment that Bama had given Saban an extension each time he met that metric.

Look, I'll make this easier watching Texas last year did you think to yourself "this is an elite job of coaching." or did you find yourself saying "damn, we are talented as frick."

And you lost to Case McCoy on your home field the last time we played. Remember how your heart sank during that derpy arse scramble he had to cross midfield into field goal territory for Justin Tucker?

Go ahead and tell me how many Big12 championships Texas has in the Big12... Last decade? Last 15 years?

Funny, you must think Tom Herman and Charlie Strong won it every year.

Stupid. Over the last 15 years Alabama and Texas are miles apart as a program. Comparing the greatest coach ever to anyone is an asinine take.

Talent has never been an issue for Texas. The difference this year is there was good coaching to pair with it.

What does a game against App State have to do with little sister and little brother. You are even dumber than ptt.

Really good chance that neither of you have ever set foot on the 40 acres.

Scott Woodard and Ross Bjork were the biggest idiots to ever negotiate a contract for A&M. Fortunately, Scott is now spending LSU’s depleted funds. And Bjork is fricking up Ohio State now.

The original contract was not ideal at the time but not necessarily that bad, in retrospect.

A&M fricked up with that extension in 2021 for no reason, he still had 7 years remaining on a fully guaranteed contract.

for a fanbase that ridicules Texas for bringing up the past (considering a&m has no past of their own), y'all sure like to trot out past results during a cherry-picked timeline to support an incredibly weak narrative.

Isn’t a&m the only program to ever have a $30 million recruiting class go 5-7 the next year with a loss to app state (that also cost $1.5 million)?

I gotta say, it’s impressive how insecure yall get over Texas’ 2023 success to the point that a.) you’ll throw out Charlie strong records as some kind of comeback, and b.) you’ll spend over $100 million to overhaul your coaching staff simply because you’re jealous of what Texas is accomplishing

Jimbo absolutely should have been fired. Jealousy had nothing to do with it.

Nice winning %
Coach A: 61
Coach B: 64
Coach C: 63

Two got fired and never lived up. The other just got extended.

He doesn't stand out. Good luck next year anyway.

I wonder what could've gotten him extended? Probably the same thing that got Jimbo fired.

If you actually believe that, you could be the most ignorant donghorn poster on this board.

Maybe you can explain this to the board:

None of the rest of the donghorn fans seem to know what it is. Probably because none of you actually went to school there.
