Sankey sunk the SEC

Maybe, maybe not. One thing is for sure though. Sankey made himself and this whole freaking conference look like clowns. He couldn’t define what a pro or amateur was. Didn’t know the 5-for-5 rule. Couldn’t tell you the difference between pro camps and rookie camps. Couldn’t explain the uneven enforcement of said rules. Didn’t know the players involved. And so much more I’m forgetting.
Then to top it all off, he let it get public about votes and talked about EXPELLING LSU from the league. Or using program-crushing sanctions. All the while making exceptions for everyone else. He let a few hurt feelings AD’s- Ole Piss and Alabama looking at you—talk him into a losing fight.
He could have at least prepared though. $4.8M he’s paid to give certain teams advantages. What are they going to argue in their federal suit? They can’t even define their own rules? Sankey said as much under oath. Does he really want to perjure himself in Louisiana right now?
Do you not think LSU has all the ammunition they need to seek retribution from the SEC? Y’all really thought y’all were going to win this, huh?
Sankey is gone. Carter and Byrne will be as well.
What’s going on in the Colorado and GT game is the reason Alabama was a part of this. “Coach Prime” on opening night of week 1 and all they’re talking about is Kiffin and LSU. No one cares about the Gumps anymore. Without Saban and no money to really compete in NIL, they’ll be Nebraska shortly. It’s a new age of CFB and Alabama sees the writing on the wall……so this was their “Hail Mary” so to speak.
We all know what that little sniveling biatch Carter was behind this as well. Ole Piss finally thought they could beat big brother and it was a new age. Then big brother came in, slapped them around, took their food toys, and told them their place won’t EVER change in the hierarchy of this relationship. A few more AD’s might lose their job over this.
The SEC literally filed a lawsuit against a founding member, then shows up and does this? Y’all really might be paying our NIL for the next decade.

Remember what Golding was dumb enough to do this summer? After what Sankey just did and how they’ve been getting hammered every step of the way.

Discovery works both ways, friend.
If the SEC can prove Lane Kiffin and LSU recruited players actively under contract with an NFL team that violates the NFL-NFLPA Collective Bargaining Agreement. The NFL could file suit against LSU as well.

A judge from Louisiana ruled in favor of players trying to attend the state university of Louisiana. The judge's salary is paid by the state of Louisiana. The intelligence of the players' attorneys was never in question.
The better question is if the 5 for 5 TRO was issued by a judge in Colorado then why didn't these athletes file to return to college football with the same court?

The damage to LSU is much more negligible especially financially speaking. These two players aren’t going to require major money in damages.
However, the skeleton’s in the SEC’s closet can literally destroy the conference. The damages the SEC would have to pay for some of the things that could come out would and the PR hit would much more substantial.
LSU has held the legal high ground the whole time. They didn’t say anything besides we’ll follow what the court says.
Care to contrast that to what the SEC did and said? Then to under oath no less state you don’t know the difference between a pro and an amateur. There’s no definition. So it’s arbitrarily enforced.

LSU isn't just on the brink of being kicked out of the SEC, they might be expelled from college sports in general

You’re right. Do you happen to know where the vast majority of federal judges are from relative to the district the serve? As you asked me earlier, there’s a reason they filed that suit where they did.
Also, take a look at what the SEC claims. Then match that up with Sankey’s statements today. After all, it’s under oath can’t be changed now.
Every argument will be picked apart easily by Sankey’s own words. He sunk himself. And much more possibly opened himself and the conference up to future civil litigation.
Before this, not a single player had filed a suit against the SEC. They made it personal. The SEC lawyers are the real winners here. They have soooo many more billable hours now.
